  1. It's becoming clearer to me that the Vestergaard horror show in the relegation season was predominantly down to the way Rodgers set up. He's looked a different player ever since Rodgers left.
  2. One thing recently that has surprised me about Mcateer is his obscene pace. He was beating everyone he was in on a foot race with and pace is something you've either got or haven't got. I think Mcateer hasn't reached his ceiling yet.
  3. I think and hope there's a bit more to it than that.
  4. Vladyslat Vanat I mentioned this guy at the start of the season. He's already bagged 9 for Dyn Kiev this season. He looks like the next gem to come out of Ukraine. He'd be relatively cheap too and would sky rocket if he found his feet in the Premier League.
  5. I expected to see the ball sailing over his head while he was back pedaling to his goal there!
  6. If Winks is fit.
  7. We could be seeing Skipp Choudhury at Newcastle!
  8. Some of those goals I'm glad I've revisited. Some absolute sensational finishes I'd forgotten about.
  9. Got to completely ignore the transfer fee and hype around the deal. Did I remember reading on here he might have a bit of an attitude? If so, he'll need to get rid of that. He'll also need a Barnes style successful loan in the Championship before he can be considered progressing with us. I'd say that goes for everyone. I hate to say it, I'm really surprised Braybrooke hasn't kicked on at Dundee and I'm starting to doubt my blinded faith in his ability. I think he needs to be recalled ASAP and sent out somewhere else. As for Alves, he is desperate for a loan. Somewhere like Birmingham where he could be a focal point in a league he'd dominate. Next season perhaps QPR, Portsmouth or Hull where he could go nuclear in League One. These players all need minutes in competivie football now.
  10. ..also have you got funds to spend in January? He thought for a moment and then a cheeky smile and a simple "yes" He could have gone down the diplomatic route of keeping cards close to his chest to keep pressure off the board or for better negotiating with clubs if he'd made out we're skint. Instead he thought and it came across to me as "I'm saying yes now publicly because you told me that in London so you better stick to your word" Also the single "yes" so much more powerful than some waffle.
  11. Loved it how he said he was looking forward to learning from Kingy about the club. Great leadership not putting himself on a pedestal. He seems so intelligent.
  12. That goal was all down to raw pace. He had no right in out pacing the defender who had a straight run back at goal where Daka had to arc his run. Sensational speed.
  13. Is Heskey shrunk? Looks the shortest bloke there but I thought he was well over 6ft.
  14. I just can't see what Mavadidi has done wrong. When he came on against Brentford he looked out brightest player. Maybe he's fancied now as an impact sub.
  15. It sounded in the press conference that he was out.
  16. The more people are aware of this the better, especially young inexperienced buyers. I got stung when I bought my first house. I was so focused on getting it because I loved it so much I didn't even consider the leasehold. It's not in the seller or estate agents interest to tell you why it's such a bad thing so the reality of it only hits later down the line. Some leaseholds are fairer than others (I've heard some horror stories where payments almost become as high as the mortgage payment!) but usually payments can start off almost insignificant but then jump to a ridiculous amount after so may years, sometimes decades. You have to read the small print carefully. Leaseholds definitely make it hard to sell, although you will likely get the inexperienced buyers that were in your position. You can buy your leasehold but this is often thousands. I can't believe that leasehold schemes haven't been scrutinised more. They're bordering a scam.
  17. He certainly has a positive aura about him. Seems to have a good mix of being laid back but looks like he'll demand high standards. I like what I see.
  18. Cooper and his team seem somehow to select absolute honking lineups. Not sure how they do it. That team would take proper planning to be so bad. I could use a random team selector from all players available and it would probably be stronger. Can't wait to see the back of his regime.
  19. VK has looked like one of our better players in my opinion.
  20. U21s playing Wolves at 13:30. I wonder if Alves will come across that cretinous Voice?
  21. Good decision for us.
  22. I mean 6 months. Anyway, Ruuds backroom staff? Some bloke called Fred Rutten was his assistant at PSV I think. Apparently he's got a backroom team ready to go as he had assembled them for a permanent job in the past that never materialised at the time...
  23. Hahahaha Top - Family club! That's unbelievable. That's wind back a few months..... Advisor "Top, the report you asked for on the new sponsors:" "Pepsi Co - a global instantly recognisable brand who would really help with the 'family image' you want to develop." Top: "Anyone else?" Advisor "well there's this dodgy crypto company called BC Game - I didn't think you'd want to consider them as it's as the opposite to 'family image' you can get. Top "how much they paying?" Advisor "Top sir, you don't understand, they look dodgy as hell, there's questions over their longevity. Anyway, would you want a gambling firm on shirts that young fans are going to see all the time? We're trying to be family club aren't we?" Top "how much they paying?" Advisor "Twice the amount of Pepsi Co" Top "Go BC Game"
  24. That's what I was thinking. It looked like there were some pretty niche skills required in the spec.
  25. What do we reckon this pays? £60 -70k per year?
