Not considered to be Chelsea's best youth player at the time but after being given a solid long term platform by us went on to be the best player of his cohort. If we could sign Mheuka on a permanent it would be a different story but Hutchinson being developed as our own player > Mheuka on a loan.

You underestimate the impact that a club putting its full trust in a player can make. There is a new Mheuka at Chelsea every couple of years yet they rarely make it. Mheuka will struggle to gain the trust of Chelsea as they can always bring in a new £50mil forward. Look at the difference in Mount's performances for Chelsea when they had a transfer ban Vs when they started bringing in players to replace him. If Hutchinson was made to be one of the main men here that would give him a brilliant platform to kick off from. The long term trajectories of the two players will be down to how the respective clubs manage them in the long run.

There was a time when our U21s played Chelsea back in 2019 and Tino Anjorin looked lightyears ahead of Dewsbury Hall. Now Dewsbury Hall is one of the top midfielders in the PL whereas Anjorin cannot get a game in Serie A. Chelsea may have better talents than ours but our talents when nurtured properly can outmatch them in the long run. Hutchinson is the same, Mheuka might be the better player today but if we put our trust in Hutchinson there wont be a comparison between them in 5 years time.

I wouldn't say he is far better on the ball than Braybrooke or Alves. Braybrooke in particular had the ball glued to his feet against MK dons.

He was on the pitch for 8 minutes. Usually wingers barely touch the ball in 8 minutes of a game. The fact that he was able to get enough crosses in in that time that you can complain about him doing the same thing over and over shows how effective he was and the impact he made. Crosses are usually a positive thing that will eventually lead to a goal. You should wait for him to have a substantial amount of time on the pitch before complaining about variety, him doing anything in that time was enough.

The fans redirecting the boos at the academy players know what they're doing. They also know full well that the boos aren't meant for them. Probably the same group of people who would jump on their backs if they weren't performing like they did with Nelson after the game against Huddersfield last season. It's another season where we have tied a weight around our necks with seasoned pros who are past their sell by date. Burns for example is meant to inject life into this team and be a leader yet he was disgraceful today. The boos were meant for these seasoned pros and the idiots who recruited them.

Page only ever wanted to stay at Leicester this season. It was Martin who didn't want him earlier on.

Start Alves, Bristric, Howell. Bin off Reid, Cullen and Burns and bring Hutchinson, Neale and Carr in as squad players. Also he started Oliver Skipp in our first 2 games while Page was sat on our bench or not in the squad. Would have been much better with Page starting every game this season. Wouldn't be surprised if Skipp comes back in after his ban as well.

The fact there are clearly solutions in this team to doing well in this league which Martin isnt using is not in Martin's favour.

It was based on those final 15 minutes where we looked very likely to score. 60 minutes of that and we score 3 in my opinion. Watson and Burns were complete dead ends on either wing before that.

Good signs are not enough. We are a genuinely good team full of players far too good for this level that are being stunted by this manager. If we start Will Alves, Bristric and Howell we win that game 3 nil. The front line he started with today was devoid of any end product or ability to take on players. His selection of Skipp over Page earlier in the season was a disaster as well. Just too many issues that are purely of Martin's own making.
