  1. That's fine but for my money Wilson Brown has been our best player this half. Go after the players when they are playing poorly, not when they are playing well.
  2. Not a fan of Martin having it in for Wilson Brown losing the ball. Thought his forward passes have had good ideas behind them and have generally been one of the highlights of the half. Shouldn't be punished for it.
  3. Instead of Kevon Gray. The existence of him in this squad is such a slap in the face and blocks our young talent. No one wants him either otherwise he wouldn't be in the squad like Winks.
  4. Threw an Ayew NR 9 shirt in the bin along the way as well.
  5. It feels strange actually enjoying watching a Leicester team. I like how we constantly have the ball in the opponent's half instead of passing it around our box.
  6. Cancel whatever offer we have made to Chaplin please. Alves should be our main man next season.
  7. Is Logan Briggs in the squad or starting for Northampton?
  8. We should see them play plenty together in the upcoming season.
  9. Is this for our U16s/U18s? I can't imagine our first team or even our U21s would be tested against a university side.
  10. We made a major mistake by signing Coady and Okoli for at least £15mil combined. Not only has it brought us terrible performances but it has also made us lose a valuable asset in Nelson for below value or for free. Will we make the same mistakes this summer buying "experienced" players to reduce the game time of the likes of Evans, Page, Alves and Braybrooke? Of course we will, we never learn.
  11. Vestergaard played the most minutes of any centre back last season in one of the worst defensive units we've ever had. His blunders at the back last season cost us the points we would have needed to stay up. With him at the back we went 3-0 down at half time in consecutive games, I'm pretty sure we were the only team to do so last season. He is disastrously terrible and anyone saying otherwise doesn't have a clue.
  12. Surely we could have offered Motsi a route to the first team this season. Probably already not far off ability wise from Conor Chaplin.
  13. Notice how better teams than ours are hoovering up our young players whereas our senior players can't get a move for the life of them. Yet some of our fans still think the way forward is more experienced pros rather than trusting the only players with any actual value at the club (our academy players). One day Nelson, Braybrooke, Alves, Monga, Evans, Page will all be doing well at a higher level than us and we will be sat wondering why we didn't give them more game time.
  14. I'm not even sure he is an upgrade on Daka so I don't know why anyone thinks this is decent. Another step in the wrong direction.
  15. Pretty sure we don't have to be contracted to players for them to start training at our facilities. Antonio for example, or we've had ex players come back and train with us such as Danny Simpson.
  16. He was at least better than Faes and Okoli who we spent £10+mil on. Not a high bar but I would at least like him to get the same chances to prove himself with us as Faes did.
  17. He's probably the most technically gifted player in league 1, perhaps would even be a competitor for that title in the championship if we were still at that level. Reminds me of Iliman Ndiaye. I haven't seen a single player mentioned on this thread with comparable control of the ball. As you said hopefully he gets some consistency with us and that technical ability translates into performances.
  18. Akanji is a good player who is error prone. Faes is an error prone player that does good things some times.
  19. Just saw this. If we were linked to a player with these highlights, especially considering last season was a "bad" season for Alves, we would be creaming ourselves.
  20. He's going to the 4th best team in league one last season, who are likely to be one of our main competitors. Sadly for us the reality is that if he does well for Bradford then he would have been good enough for us. He's not one of our tier 1 talents like Alves, Braybrooke, Nelson, Page, Monga, Aluko etc but some of our tier 2 academy players have gone elsewhere and done well such as Maswanhise, Johansson.
  21. He's going to score a banger against us isn't he
  22. He was poor in the championship last season as well though and Ipswich not playing him despite him being a 20+ g+a midfielder at that level 2 seasons prior indicates that he's tailed off a bit. I'm just saying it's one of those signings that could easily go poorly, not that he's someone we should outright avoid. He could rediscover some form with us if he does come.
  23. Last 2 seasons have been mediocre from him. Last season he had a similar attacking output to Vestergaard and Luke Thomas. If we're getting the Chaplin from 22/23 and 23/24 then we should be all over it but considering he hasn't been good for a while it's definitely a risk.
