What’s the best plan for our squad next season?
honeybradger replied to Haywood_6's topic in Leicester City Forum
It really is going to keep on getting worse until it gets better isn't it. We're going to keep on stockpiling Cordova Reids, Ayews, Winks, Coadys etc whilst our talent don't get a chance and inevitably move onto better things. Would rather we didn't bring in any free agents on high wages, the club is run so poorly that the best outcome for us this summer is a transfer ban and I mean that seriously. -
Wish we would. Any new signings are just going to be players that we're desperate to offload in a years time.

Will Alves - loaned to Cardiff City

Was withdrawn from international duty over concerns about an injury. Any word on whether it was precautionary or not? -

Sadly we will bring in more deadwood in the summer with the short term mindset of going straight back up i.e. Coady. The deadwood at the club will never be cleared out until we replace Rudkin and change our transfer strategy.

What do the players say in the pre-match huddle?
honeybradger replied to DJW1's topic in Leicester City Forum
"Everyone seems to love Vardy for his red bull pre match ritual, to earn the goodwill of the fans we should follow in his footsteps" "Faes, Justin, Kristiansen, Vestergaard what have you decided on as your pre match ritual" "A couple pills of temazepam washed down with a shot of vodka" -

"Bobby, youve put on two left boots again" -
I remember seeing that we were going to sign him and looking at his last game for Reims on youtube where he scored a stunner of an own goal. Genuinely think if we stuck him up front instead of Ayew and Reid and told him to defend for the other team he would score more goals than them.

To be honest id rather us spend the next few seasons in the championship than be in the prem next year. If we stay in the PL there's going to be no accountability for the situation we are in and they are just going to pile on the deadwood in the transfer window. At least if we go down some of the deadwood might leave the club.

For anyone asking why we dont give Skipp a run in the side, the last 2 games he started were a 2/10 horror show performance against Newcastle and the game against Wolves where he got hooked at half time. Skipp is Spurs's version of Mcateer, youth team player promoted into a level of football where he is way out of his depth. Really he should be building up his career with regular game time on loan in the championship but he stagnated on the bench for Spurs and somehow we made him our £25mil marquee signing to stay in the prem. Absolute clownshow of a club. If he was 18 you might say he had a bit about him but'a he's 24.

I think he should be given a chance as our starting LB in the championship.

Perez was the start of our recent run of terrible transfer policy. We desperately needed a right winger who could take on players and create from out wide and he just wasnt that. Yes BCDR and Ayew are objectively worse but you have to factor in that we brought them in as a newly promoted championship side looking to stay up, Perez was brought in when we were a side looking to challenge for Europe and had more pull and more money to spend. Relative to the positions the club were in at the time the quality of the transfers were similar.
-
Everton actually have a decent squad though. Genuine PL quality like Doucoure, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Ndiaye, Pickford etc. We only really have Hermansen and El Khannous who you can argue are at the level required.
-
What's the point in bringing in a new manager? The squad is horrible, i dont think anyone's going to.get this lot fired up and go on a run of results.
-
Worst top flight side in our history tbf. Relative to us this Man United side are prime Barca.
-
The only good aspect of the club is that we have a golden generation of academy players. Watch us line up with a new batch of PL rejects next season though rather than give our talent a chance.

The West Ham commentators were raving last night about how Monga was the best talent theyd seen at u21 level, at least this season. I have no doubts that Monga and Evans are already better players than Ayew and Reid. You dont just lose your technique and ability to strike a ball when you move up to the men's game. You personally may have struggled at adjusting to men's football but to be frank with you you werent one of the best talents in your age group in the country, theyre cut from a different cloth from your average professional footballer, let alone a 16 yr old playing in sunday league. Theyre already too good for U21 football at 15 and 16, it's clear that their abilities transcend age or logic. -

Saliba struggled at u21 level for Arsenal. It's not like these players are non-professionals, you could give Cordova Reid 400 games against West Ham's u21s and he would never dribble 3 players and score like Monga did the other night. I think 'Premier League experienced' players like Cordova Reid and Ayew are very overrated. They almost dont belong on the pitch against most of the opposition we have faced this year. If they were the exact same players and were 18 yrs old sat in our academy they wouldnt get a sniff of first team football. -

Cant wait for the club to splash £10mil on Ben Doak from Liverpool next summer and give charity minutes to Monga and Evans 🤩. Wouldnt be surprised if we desperately try to get Trey Nyoni on loan now that he's a coveted big six academy player. -
Just play our academy players. A transfer embargo might be the best thing to happen to the club, stops us bringing in PL experienced tossers who play like theyre just breaking into senior football.

Much rather us line up with Evans and Monga in the first team than Ayew and Cordova Reid. Relegation or not. -

Monga and Evans, wow. What i would do to see this kind of individual ability in our first team. -

I thought we look ok. Page, Baybrooke, Evans and Monga have looked exciting. The rest arent at that same level. Richards in particular doesnt look great considering he was playing mens football recently.
