Honestly, when the side isn't recognised externally for how good it is. Great Escape, PL win and CL run the following year all had a good side, that people in and around the club knew was very capable, and those outside the club had no idea. We desperately need someone who can organise us defensively. It has to be Moyes for me. I didn't want him when we had the point deduction hanging over us, but he's perfect now. Think we are good enough going forward to finish 15th or above if we sorted out how leaky we are at the back.

It would make me feel we had a good enough side to stay up despite of Cooper, rather than because of Cooper and he should still go. I think there is a chance he stays all season and we stay up, but I think it's far greater if we changed him for anyone competent of tactically organising a team.

I'll happily change my mind on Cooper when we have a full match where we don't look horrific for a minimum of 30 minutes

Good post, I'm convinced we have way more than enough going forward to stay up (maybe another CF would be nice in January). Defensively we are awful and have been saved my Mads numerous times from embarrassment. I didn't want him in the summer, but I think Moyes would he perfect to organise us defensively and keep us up.
