  1. In fairness, our team is pretty shit on paper anyway. Ridiculous we aren't playing Ricardo and Mavididi. The ray of hope is that Everton, Ipswich and Southampton also look poor. I don't see us staying safe with this manager in charge though, especially if a points deduction hits us.
  2. What an odd answer....just sounds like he doesn't fancy him at all, which is odd.
  3. The relief that this is a 2 year deal!
  4. Yes yes yes Fair too good to be true, Rudkin will find a way to **** this
  5. I'm all for Weghorst tbh, a front 3 of him, Mavididi and Fatawu really works. Especially with Vardy buzzing about when available. Maybe Kalimuendo is that other forward, could also play wide so ticks a few boxes
  6. I think after Ayew we will bring in two more CFs, one of which being able to play as a 10 or out wide. 1 experienced loan (Weghorst, Ings, Youssef Poulsen). Another being younger (Fotis or Datro)
  7. So what does Ayew do? Answer: presses. Very interesting to see FBRef offer similar players as BDCR and Buonanotte. Almost like Cooper is solely looking for high pressing 10s/wide men. Would have to imagine he will want the same for a CF. In a way, does give me confidence the 2nd half vs Spurs was a tactical decision to press high and not just blind luck
  8. Cooper worryingly using the "If it doesn't happen" line of answer now. If we don't bring in a 10 and a centre forward, we're ****ed.
  9. Imagine wages would be huge, and he likely wants to stay up north if Everton is the name being put out. Would rather we just use Ricardo
  10. Oh ffs! Good move for Nanasi tbh, will get plenty of game time and will move for 30+ in a couple of years, convinced of it. But £10m on a 5 year deal would be the same for PSR as Ayew on a 3 year for £6m, which is so annoying it makes me want to staple my testicles to a chopping board.
  11. He's a decent experienced player, but having both Ayew and BDCR in the squad seems pointless.
  12. Izzet vs Spurs or Nalis vs Leeds
  13. Jose would love his work rate
  14. Attacking Midfielder, Centre Forward and a left back.
  15. Nelson, Alves and Braybrooke all need loans. I'm a fan on having them around the first team but they're all desperately in need of regular minutes now.
  16. Massively needs a loan in the championship. Best bet is probably doing well somewhere else and earning a move away.
  17. Encouraging to see how well Gronbaek has settled in France, as I personally think Nanasi is the bigger talent
  18. Refreshing to hear a manager describe what we all saw post-match. No sugar coating, first half wasn't good enough and he made sure that changed. If he can harness that 2nd half for the majority of the season, it's a style that the fans will really get behind.
  19. Gutted that Samuel Dahl moved this summer - he would have been a great LB option. And yes, I do only recommend Scandinavians
  20. Despite suggesting him, if the fee is 30m, we can easily spend that money better on a number 10 and a centre forward. Sebastian Nanasi and Orri Oskarsson probably leave us 5-10m left over from that fee!
  21. Ready for the pelters on this one. But McTominay on loan? Could work as a goal threat in the 10 position, or as an 8.
  22. If we got Cherki I'd demand that everyone attends the next home match in full training kit and Rudkin masks
  23. Where the **** has this come from! Actual intensity!!
  24. Granted this may not be the best match to show it but I'd love to hear what elements of last season Cooper feels he's building on
