I think these comments are largely right. The manager is reluctant to make changes, and perhaps as we've largely been dominating our games, he may feel why change for no reason beyond fitness? But Ipswich coming strong late in games is yes, somewhat due to fortune but also how brave they are and how energetic they are towards the end of matches, which is helped by them having at least one or two game changers on the bench. For example, they had Sarmiento and Hutchinson come on against us, who are quality players. They've been forced into rotating their players more as they try to turn around games, while we've been on top for longer so have more to defend. The more I think about it, the more I think our recent problems have come from fitness issues - it's a long season and the international break is coming at a good time for us to refresh and recharge.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

Ha, suspect this is being leaked out by certain PL clubs to put us off suing for FFP. Not that I fully trust the club to have got this right but the ifs, buts and maybes make this something put out there by rival clubs to try to put us back in our box. -
This time Maresca also said he should be back in full training next week.

Back in time to save us!

He didn’t play badly but doesn’t show the right mentality enough when the pressure is on. Needs either Coady or Vestergaard next to him, can’t be trusted in this challenging period to lead the defence.

Looks like U-16s won their semifinal but U-18s lost their’s: -
Put this in the match thread but he got it wrong not playing Coady unless there was an issue with his fitness. Faes and Nelson were at fault for the first goal, no one took control as the communication between them was lacking. You know what you get with Coady - he'll have been rallying the players. So frustrating.
-
I've been full of praise for Enzo but think he made a big mistake not picking Coady, unless there was a fitness issue with him having played 120 mins. The first goal is poor defending from Faes and Nelson. Faes really needs someone experienced with him, the lack of communication between him and Nelson was a big problem. We're conceding too many soft goals - we need more leadership defensively in particular. Why do we make it so hard for ourselves?!

Excellent news: -
Yeah, getting Soyuncu vibes from Faes. When the pressure is on, concerns whether he can handle it.
-
Often seen criticism about his subs but he got them spot on yesterday. Each one of them had a positive impact - yep, Fatawu got the goal but Ricardo shored things up, Ihenacho held up the ball well in general and brought the midfielders up the pitch, Nelson looked assured and energetic when he came on and moved Ricardo to midfield when Praet was on his feet etc.
-
Very skilful but just needs that composure.
-
The best turnaround story in some time, so good.

Fantastic! Maturing into the player we hoped he’d become.

We look so calm with Vestergaard and Coady together defensively. Superb performance from the team, so many standouts - Choudhury, Coady and Vestergaard were immense. -

Nice work, enjoyed it. Glad to hear Enzo is happy but clear he wants a better footballing structure at the club to match his ambitions. No surprise there, hope the club backs him . -
Just been published: https://t.co/ZcslzhDBgp A really good read, and Agent Kasper helped seal Mads’ signing.

Yeah, it's also crazy that we didn't look to spend that kind of money on a goalkeeper. We could have got someone very good for less than what we were willing to pay for Harrison, and likely stayed up. The planning was a mess that season.
-
Remember the manager kept saying we had to sell before we could buy as well. In hindsight, we should have followed what we said, not the likes of Romano who suggested a deal was pretty much done.
-
No worries. Inter wanted a fee upfront that we couldn’t afford due to FFP, because they had no guarantee of payment once he became a free agent. This is corroborated by reports in the Italian press. And they didn’t want to have to do a contract extension. But when it was clear all options had been exhausted (ie we weren’t able to sell anyone), that’s what was pursued on deadline day but the deal was more complex.
