Tanner said O'Hare from Coventry is an alternative option to Sensi for the CM position in this transfer window: https://theathletic.com/5220087/2024/01/23/leicester-january-window-maresca/

Enzo's interview confirmed it was Chelsea's decision to recall him, said they were surprised.
-
Enzo's comments were a bit more positive on a new signing - didn't say this time we need to ship someone out to get another player in. Just said 'we'll see'.

Fully agree on McAteer. He wasn't creating much offensively but put in a good shift defensively. Albrighton should have been on for him earlier.

Leicester 1-1 Ipswich Post Match Thread

Understand it might have been enforced but it happens far too often. We need someone like him to take control in the middle of the park to help close games out if he comes off. -
Leicester 1-1 Ipswich Post Match Thread

What is it with us taking off KDH late in games and it coming back to bite us! So frustrating. -
LOL, there have been a few other links but yeah, looks ridiculous that we were genuinely for him given he ended up at PSG!
-
Interesting it''s 1.5 or 2.5 years for his contract rather than the 3.5 years being speculated - 1.5 or 2.5 years makes far more sense given his age and injury record.
-
We have been linked with more South American players recently (e.g. Beraldo) - could be media BS or we're looking at the market more now.
-
Yeah, what an utterly depressing thread. And I thought the match threads were something else as well! I don't think things are as bad as suggested, but things do seem off from the comms between the financial and footballing operations. So we're still signing Sensi? Right?
-
Nope what I mean here is we kept playing him or bringing him off the bench, even though his performances were average until recently as we had to in order to ensure we could keep him for the season.
-
John Percy reporting the recall happened after Casadei missed the agreed number of appearances: "There was also widespread surprise when Chelsea exercised the recall of Cesare Casadei from his loan on Friday, after the midfielder missed an agreed number of appearances." Explains why he kept being played even though he was underperforming. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/01/22/enzo-maresca-methods-leicester-premier-league-return/

You're reading way too much into it - don't know how you got all these conclusions from what is a fairly dull, run of the mill article. He'd have written this largely before the Casadei decision, so let's see. Obviously, would like our financial position to be stronger but it's fairly quiet window generally. Posters can judge for themselves here: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/01/22/enzo-maresca-methods-leicester-premier-league-return/

Looks like things are not working out for Soy at Atletico.
-
More to suggest Chelsea wanted him to return as they think he has potential:
-
Well it was the Telegraph journalist who first said it was happening! Just read the first post in this thread.
-
I’m not so sure. It was reported that he’s joining their first team squad and taking up a spot, which suggests that Chelsea wanted him back.
-
He said in the press conference that no one was close to signing or leaving so seems like a knee-jerk decision from Chelsea.
-
Definitely their call as he'll be part of their 25-man squad. Annoying it wasn't something like a guaranteed season-long loan unless certain amount of appearance weren't made - explains perhaps why he played so much to avoid running that risk but they've still recalled him anyway.
