Have to credit Sunderland and Watford for their defensive efforts. 2 teams that could be starting to think about the holidays.
-
Amazing what a bit of pressure can do. Turns teams to shit On one hand we've got a way with it, but on the other hand it could've been a great week.
-
I'd say Iheanacho was harder as it was a dropping ball and pretty hard to generate power from a weird scoop cross from Fatawu. Was also a brilliant clearance.
-
Should be on the bench at least and called upon when needed, like that last night. Far too direct for Enzo though and doesn't invert from the right. OK, I've just noticed he was on the bench but that's even worse that he wasn't used.
-
I don't want him gone, not at this stage anyway, he gets the opportunity to see it through., But I do want him to show he can adapt and see that he see's the things that are going wrong, not necessarily always wrong but at this moment its not working.

I've never been overly impressed bar a reasonable spell against Bournemouth but he has to be used to give Mavididi at-least 60 minutes of rest on Friday. -
Feel pretty mad saying this, but I Still think he will leave England and still have a decent career and score goals somewhere. He runs hard but I think it's mind is not here anymore, and that's reflected in his finishing, that extra 10% you need to show quality.
-
Extra days rest could be a pretty big bonus for Ipswich. Expect them to win but you never know.
-
Captain hindsight. If you recognise this then maybe you make subs earlier.
-
Think we are at the Praet deserves a start stage for him then to be dragged at half time
-
Obvious calls for Coady but we've got Harry Souttar sitting around doing **** all too.
-
Terrible miss but coincidence we create reasonable chances as soon as he's on the pitch. Even if he does balls them up consistently. How can a striker be so bad at heading a ball
-
Ndidi had one good move for a number 8, but he is terrible at everything else. How we have ended up with him in a crucial creative role I'll never know.
-
Agreed, but if he had options in front of him that actually want the ball he might not have to. Vardy, KDH and Ndidi were basically marking themselves tonight. Whilst he did lose the ball, his position was covered by Winks who shouldn't have let him cut inside, however he was clearly worried about being on a yellow for the most of the game and barely made a tackle. Not sticking up for Faes too much, because he is a bombscare.
-
Gets praise when deserved but was absolutely honking tonight. Not having the option to change our wingers each game makes a huge difference between us and our 2 rivals.
-
You can have your plan A, fine, that's the managers idea and it's fair to give it go. It's the lack of changing or variety that will stop Enzo ever being at a higher level. Pep switches players and positions constantly and quickly, even he had a style.
-
Leeds not winning means we've got away it to an extent, no matter what happens with Ipswich. We can't play that badly on Friday surely.
-
Faes Will get the blame but he's literally the only one who tries to occasionally force the issue, drive forward or add the extra man into a woeful midfield.
-
Pathetic performance. No promotion chasing team as ever played with so little urgency. We tried to score in the last minute and created 3 chances. Players, and maybe even the manager, aren't bothered enough imo, if we don't go up they know they are leaving. Some terrible performances when it mattered most. Midfield woeful. What the **** was the ndidi and kdh combo all about and how did it last so long? Didn't deserve anything but the ref is comfortably one of the worse I've seen, worse than a ref that makes bad decisions because he just strolls around the centre circle like he owns the place doing **** all. Ball was probably in play for less than a half in that match and he did nothing about it.

Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21

I'm sorry..but True Grant? This Will probably be our starting first team next season. -
The centre backs taking goal kicks happens a lot now, and it's pretty common tactic for anyone who isn't trying to time waste. Not sure where the idea has come from and what the benefit is.
-
You can't slide in the box unless you are guaranteed to get the ball.
-
Will Leeds and Ipswich be 'using their squad' in midweek. I know Ricardo is a different case, but we have to just play our best 11 and hope for the best.
-
Lack of good 3rd wing option has been a downfall for us all season. Yunus did well today but he's not a serious wing starting option for me. I'm not as convinced as most with Fatawu, he never scores a goal like Stephy today for example as he's always ball watching and not getting in the box. Has some raw ingredients though. Lack of variety of plays with him and Ndidi is frustrating. Ndidi closes the space every time so even if Abdul wants to go down the outside he can't. Ideally have someone to play 1-2s with.

Leicester 2-1 Birmingham POST MATCH.

Important to win games, especially when nearest rivals both lose tough away games. Roles reversed in midweek.
