If you have to change so many of your bowlers ahead of a crucial final test shows that the schedule is ridiculous. Too short a period for a 5 test series. Having your next in line batsmen carrying drinks all summer makes no sense either.

Bethell was the ridiculous shot yesterday for me. All he had to do was play along with Root. England have had good periods but generally been that little bit behind in all aspects of the game. A drawn series is fair I think. It may not bring winning cricket but this era certainly brings entertaining cricket.

I'll miss seeing him in a Leicester shirt, but it's 100% time to sell and a decent deal too. Some of his attempts on goal are hilarious.

Got no problem with Mavididi and Fatawu getting first go - Monga just needs to bide his time and hopefully he gets a good chunk of games rather than 10 minutes. He's a special talent but he does need to be managed to an extent. Midfield is an issue and he must surely see that. We need a striker, but I think centre midfield is an even bigger priority but we need to get rid of shit currently there first.

Great finale but think I'd rather it just piss it down all to remove any chance of defeat, and take the 2-1 series victory Hope it plays out with Smith battering it for 10 minutes and it's done. I fear the worst though, can see him coming out and going for it and getting out.

Overton and Atkinson can bat but Smith needs to get this done and be the finisher. If India get him straight away they'll win. Difficult to criticise but once Brook and Root got into position, they needed to sensibly finish it today. Brook gave India a lifeline when they were gone. Hard to judge Bethell on one match but he didn't take his opportunity, understandable though given the amount of cricket he's played.

Such a unnecessarily chaotic test match, everything seems to be in a rush. If Bethell gets runs here he cements his talent because he's done nothing but carry drinks all summer and now expect to find some crucial form with the bat.
