Bethell gets his first professional hundred. Got a life earlier on and took full advantage.

Can't believe how accustomed we've become to performances like that against rubbish that it's almost accepted. Lee Dixon was trying to sell it as a positive performance

Would've had a good chance if Wilson played him in before too. Similar to KDH in taking up positions in this little cameo.

Wonder how Glasner will act when he wants to leave. To be fair though, should never have got to deadline day. Palace should have told Liverpool if it doesn't happen before then it doesn't happen.

Thought we had Matty James back for a minute.

Interesting if that stat changes if you don't include 16-18 year old? Apprenticeships are a good option for anyone coming out of college as an alternative to university, there just isn't enough of them. Problem is when people come out of school thinking they'll get an apprenticeship, as they often think it's an easier option and also often don't have the English and maths requirements. I do come across lots of kids dropping out of apprenticeships, particularly in construction, often citing the companies have let them go due to lack of work or they've quit because they get messed around, not doing any actual training, basically just being treated as a labourer. Of course though, a lot of his lack of graft and work ethic in young people too.

It's not quite as easy as 'getting an apprenticeship' though, a lot of people are forced into university as there isn't enough apprenticeships. Even more so in certain areas. I see lots of people who want apprenticeships but unless they are able to travel or re-locate there isn't the opportunities for them. And I mean proper apprenticeships, not the shitty ones that you see in hospitality where its just an excuse to pay someone less.

Kane is not missing the chance to play against Andorra is he? Tried to think who might be 'rested' for the more difficult Serbia game but other than Rice I probably couldn't tell you the strongest team from that squad.

Like to think it's just a bad day but previous record suggests it's a theme. See how they react I guess.

Interesting they keep bowling Baker. Basically saying games gone so just bowl and see if you can get through it.

Not a great debut for Baker. Too simplistic to say that you can't judge someone on a decent spell in the hundred? South Africa look like a team who have just played a ODI series in Australia. And won for that matter, clearly a good team currently.

Never understand the point of having a closing time if signings continue to happen hours later.

Maybe, I think Konate is a good defender. Don't know if it matters but guehi is generally a left sided defender and that's Van Dijk. Would've got plenty of games but konate/van dijk may have got the big games.

Looking forward to Newport coming to fleetwood this year now. Hopefully they break into the team.

Interesting to see what happens with Guehi now. Could sign a new contract with a reasonable release clause but not guarantee of liverpool coming back for him.. Or runs hua contract and signs for Liverpool on a free. And to be fair I don't think he would have started for them right now anyway.

Knew that didn't look right and tbf also knew you'd be the one to notice it

Hopefully professional enough to knuckle down until Jan at least, got to be more enjoyable than mopping around. He gets straight back in the team with the right attitude.

Can only judge in a few months surely? Happy with the signings today, but time will tell if they are any good. We have been better at getting rid of people but that's cos the bids have been there.

Love it when new signings look like they've been taken hostage.

Glad we had the bracket clarification, nearly had a heart attack.

Don't follow it as such but there is always a couple of times where I stumble across game day and watch it for hours. Usually really excited presenters about 3 hours before anything actually kicks off Then spend a bit of time researching American college sports, before doing it again a few months later because I've forgot. College sports is pretty unreal really. Mrs usually asks what the **** am I watching...

Will Palace come in for him as a last resort signing once Guehi goes...

Always surprised that Will Hughes is a pretty crucial player in a decent side.

Probably just a normal international break trip home but probably a good idea for Okoli to be in Italy, just in case.

Not much has changed but this Villa side suddenly looks very average. A reminder you need to continuely refresh the squad.
