  1. I think you are right although it’s a very close call. It depends now on who makes the difference in this final push.
  2. Absolutely but without a good framework and transparency they are not held to account. It just can’t be ignored if the governance is effective. It doesn’t take a genius to see it’s not been working. Getting capable people in is a given but it’s chicken and egg whether that is done first or the governance improvements that drive it forward including appointments.
  3. One thing for sure the board should seek to have a lot more transparency in the club so that roles can be held more accountable at all levels of senior management levels at the board. They need to develop their forward looking process whereby risks are identified and modelled as part of the decision making processes. Performance and consequences, recruitment on and off field regulatory landscape , recruitment, injuries etc should be included so that the board and decision makers have a wider and more complete understanding to make better decisions. Performance against those targets should be monitored to ensure results are delivered. That includes and starts with planning and strategy making short and longer term. I’m sure they have something like this but it isn’t happening effectively.
  4. Partially agree here in that senior management clearly haven’t performed individually or collectively. However the board oversee the collective performance of the club on and off the pitch and if things aren’t working or going in the wrong direction it is their job to get it back on track. They haven’t done this and aren’t immune from criticism. Top is chair of the board.and needs to get in a senior management team that can function together to do that. That includes his own role. He also heads the organisation who own the company that should be pushing for changes at senior level. A bit of a conflict.
  5. Bound to do an Ipswich.
  6. A great win. Well done. Will do wonders for the confidence.
  7. Thank deck for that.
  8. Not keen on those subs
  9. Fstawu gets in a great position then puts his foot on the ball and passes back. Ffs. I do like him but Albrighton not even on the bench.
  10. Yes. Thank gd. Now don’t go all defensive.
  11. We are lacking confidence in front of goal particularly but at least we are competing. Now is the time to give it all. This is a must win.
  12. I was about to blasphem again on Easter Monday
  13. Riccardo for hamza too please. If fit no point holding back.
  14. Exactly. Put everything that’s happened behind us. Dwelling on it achieves nothing. We are in a race for the title and still in a great position. Take it game by game and start being positive.
  15. I do agree. His all round play is much underestimated and he is still getting in those positions. I did notice though his body shape looked like he was thinking about the strikes too much. Normally he would just tuck them away. Probably down to the break and the significance of the match. I’d still play him.
  16. Vardy used to dance around premiership defenders like John travolta. Yesterday he looked like he was dad dancing.
  17. Bring on the kevin.
  18. It is the board who are responsible for the governance and oversight of the football club. They hire and fire senior management who hold specific responsibilities. They should have spotted the issues earlier on and corrected them.through the establishment and effectiveness of a sound risk management and control framework. The blame lies to different degrees on several senior names on that list and some not on it but ultimate responsibility here lies with the board and senior management and one person in particular.
  19. What’s most worrying is the trajectory of these losses and mismanagement. It appears that there is no individual or governance in place to challenge and ask the right questions to get us back on course in a sensible sustainable manner. In any other organisation changes would have been made before now.
  20. I do think albrighton should have featured more. He doesn’t mess about and gets a good cross in at the earliest opportunity. That said Fatawu has on the whole been great this season and a breath of fresh air. He is still very young though and I think Albrighton could help him at times as he searches for that consistency. I have noticed in previous years that managers and fans alike forget the quality that Marc possesses and his ability to beat a man and work in confined spaces despite not being the quickest on the park. He has also played a more central role before with surprisingly good results. When we were in the midst of the injury issues he certainly could have been usefully employed. That being said we don’t see the full picture as fans and I have grown to trust Enzo selection as I think he gets it right the majority of the time. The game is all about teamwork and some players and partnerships just gel and some do not.
  21. I thought we put in a decent show today against a team away from home that has been improving in recent weeks . We made some decent chances and were in it when we went down to ten men. I am a bit baffled why people might not want us to get promotion but each to their own. I still think we are in a strong position to go up first time of asking and our form in the last few matches has not been as bad as some people have been saying. We do miss Vardy and Riccardo in games like this but I thought Ndidi imposed himself more today and KDH looked back to his industrious self. We did have a chance to progress today but it was not to be and focussing now on the league is no bad thing.
  22. Yesss. Told ya. Well done Mavs.
  23. We are really missing Riccardo at the moment. Doyle is doing ok on the left but has got exposed there too. Nowhere for the first goal. Maybe Justin’s pace on the right might help if we went to a flat back four but we havent done that much this season. Exposed at the back and not clinical in front of goal. Overall though we haven’t done that bad just need more composure in the critical moments as we have seen in recent games. If we get one goal early on this could still be turned around.
  24. No I agree. Even in the replay it looked like he got the ball. Justice was done in the end.
