I agree too. I think this could be a great barometer of where we are. I think it’s early day on the loans I think we need to give it more time. I don’t think mcateer or Justin starting would weaken this team which shows the strength of our squad. I think Enzo is trying to keep it fresh and encouraging players to keep pushing in training. I like it.

I think he will get another 15 minutes but he hasn’t had a great game. I expect most of those five changes made before the match to be reversed before the game is over to be fair. I was worried about so many changes beforehand but we have done better than I expected. Strength in depth is going to be very important in this league.

Not a great penalty was it but he scored and that’s all that counts.

I’d agree with this. I thought the only changes I’d make would maybe to swap Doyle out for Faes. KDH didn’t have his best game but even the. He brings something to the table. It will be tempting to keep the same team.

Great win in a potentially difficult match. Best of all we got the best proof yet that this team is starting to click under Enzo’s tactical style. And that was despite a few daft moments on our part. Southampton have clearly got some decent players and potential but they committed more silly mistakes than we did. Overall we looked the best we have this season.
