  1. Low block working a treat today.
  2. Used to be Joachim Low‘a job that.
  3. . Wrong thread! Love the guy!
  4. Im not saying that. I don't go crazy on here rubbishing the guy. It's hard to, as i don't know what his role and remit is. Sometimes it's just a talent keeping things running when there is lots of crazy stuff going on around you. But i think its been reported the Maresca and Brendan were very much Tops targets. Maybe Top does the initial 'wooing' of the candidate and Rudkin works night and day to make it happen. I was just commenting that these might not have been Rudkins targets, but i am sure he would have had a lot to do with the process.
  5. To be fair, im not sure how much say he's had in the last few appointments?
  6. Depends if they’ve got to the stage of actually making offers?
  7. Spent all day dealing with a data issue. Horrible. Does this mean it’s not potter or is is still as clueless as before.
  8. Even if we are a stepping stone, i don't think there would be any change by Christmas unless we sacked him. Very rarely do clubs poach managers between PL during a season (Chelsea did it with Potter and there was a bit of a fuss about it). It does happen but its very rare and i think he would more than a few months to improve his stock to be headed to Man U. If think by Christmas we are going to be in the bottom 5. I think the season will be seen out no matter what, so we can relax from that front.
  9. Wouldn't put it past them to forget they even hired him.
  10. Its alright Bob. Will save all the good bits from 85 minutes onwards when you are on your way home to watch Strictly.
  11. Thats the spirit!
  12. I presume Coopers '2 days to decide' are up then?
  13. Until Romano has tweeted it 5 times, i don't care.
  14. Interestingly, i wonder why noone actually makes him an offer. From what i can see, hes interviewed for a lot of jobs but no serious offers have been made
  15. I've always had an inkling he's a bit overrated. However, i'd buy into the appointment but i think a lot of fans are going to have similar issues with the football as previous managers as there is a perception be plays a style of football that i don't think he actually does. I do think (points deductions being sensible) that he could keep us up. If he could make us PL smart like he did with Brighton in the early days then with good use of our current resources and buying well, i think we could be ok.
  16. I suppose he's agreed depending on a set of demands that we have to mull over. Probably involved transfers (yulp!) and playing staff he wants to bring in. Probably needs to make sure there is a talking sorting hat at seagrave etc.
  17. I dont understand the last sentence. Does that mean its with us now?
  18. I wouldn't read anything into it right now, it was just i haven't seen much change at the Betfair exchange for a while. The Betfair exchange works different to a high street bookies. Account holders can offer both back odds (like you see at a bookies) or 'lay odds' which means you can bet against the outcome. Most of the bookies have automated systems that allow them to 'balance' they own betting markets with betfair, hence why i think it's a good indication of what is going on as it amalgamates lots of bookies activity. What it shows me is that account holders (or automated systems) have taken the reasonable offers on Potter. A lump of cash to lay indicates thats a level some bookies may be happy to balance their book at. Our market still has really low liquidity so i think its all up in the air. The Brighton manager market (although pretty much set in stone) has matched 36k. One thing to bare in mind is that, relatively speaking, very little gets bet on Manager markets. Even once Enzo was nailed on at Chelsea not a huge amount was matched at Betfair. 3k has been matched in the Leicester manager market but 3.6 million has been matched in the winners of the Euro's market.
  19. Kewell and Solskjær not listed in the Betfair exchange, so that tells you everything you need to know about those.
  20. Don't want to be that person who refers to betting odds, but i always feel the betfair exchange is the best guide, although at low liquidity it can throw out false positives. Anyway, the market just shifted and a chunk of cash got matched. You can lay nearly £300 on Potter at 2.74 and can't back him for any decent odds. Cooper definitely drifted on the exchange and there is no decent cash to lay.
  21. Interestingly, is Enzo still in our payroll until July 1st or has he officially left. It all feels weird when it comes to buying out contracts in football.
  22. I thought the West Brom and Southampton home games were effing brilliant. Plymouth away looked decent on my tv.
  23. And yet, Iceland were out qualified by Luxembourg in their group. It’s nice to be able to do it in a one off friendly, but you have to have a system that works over the marathon.
