Yet most on here were whining that Enzo ball was doomed to relegation in the PL regardless who we had in the team. And there is no proof that Moder is a KDH replacement. He is just the rumoured part of the deal.
-
Unless there is detailed information about the transaction, no one will know. If its all done as part of one deal (which others have said might be unlikely these days) presumably you might save all the related fees for the incoming player.
-
Yes. But for all we know we might sell KDH and still get a points deduction. I still think trying to be compliant is the best negotiating for limiting the severity of the sanction. The whole thing is a mess. I think the clubs will be fearful of going down the 'the player will be worth more than the points deduction' route right now and will still try and show willing to try and be compliant. Be interesting to know what our case for 22/23 will be.
-
Its the thing that according to reports might violate fair play rules. I think clubs will do this at their peril.
-
Yes but the rules don't change for the current accounting period. We are getting something for last year no matter what but we have to make a decision about the current period as well.
-
Others explain this far better than me. But from my limited understanding: We breached last years accounting period, and no matter what some sort of sanction is coming for us although the value of the breach and what we will get is not known. PSR is over a 3 year rolling period, so selling KDH will be an attempt to be as compliant as possible in the current accounting period, which finishes in a few days. Current period is also a pain because we were in the EPL, so the amount we are allowed to breach is lower. 'Trying to be compliant' seems to be the best way of negotiating sanctions. I don't think we've seen a situation where a club has said '**ck it, give me everything you've got and we'll do anything we want'. Well, maybe Man City but that's a different story. The value you get for selling players is wrapped up in complex amortisation calculations. But simply put, KDH had no incoming fee and a £25mil sale would be 25 million immediate profit. Using Souttar as an example, he was reportedly bought for £15mill and has served 1.5 years of a 5 year contract. Bad maths makes me think we would have to see him for about £11 million just to break even on his value, and any less means we put a loss in the period he is sold meaning it makes the FFP situation worse. To get the same value for Souttar that you will get for KDH, you will have to sell him for £36 million. That's simply not happening. As i said - others explain this better than me. Want to add that i hate all this crap and putting academy players in this situation sucks. If for example Chelsea come in for £30 mil, i can't see KDH having a long and illustrious Chelsea career. I wish there was another way.

Same reason Forest sold Johnson, and same reason why Man City sell most of their academy players (including Palmer). Money. Pure profit on the books that goes straight into the current accounting period.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Chelmofox replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Facebook click bait. See all sorts of junk posts from footballinsider for most clubs. Lots of ‘could do’ and ‘maybe’. -
Fair. Let’s see the full terms first as it’s still not clear.

Foxes talk last season: We have to get back to being that club that sells assets when we can get the best price for them. Foxes now: Sell KDH. Ridiculous. We must keep our academy products until they decide to leave on a free. The guy is amazing and a future england captain. Everyone, this is the club we are. KDH's stock will never be higher. He will stink the PL out with us next season and we will get very little for him next year once his limitations are exposed again. Its the right time to move on. Time to blood the next geneneration ready to sell in a few years.
-
Hate that phrase in bold, and if one was to use it, you can see where he has limitations and where that holds him and us up. You are judged differently in your breakout season, and we all got excited by the potential. Unfortunately, one additional poor PL season and a season in the Championship are not proof that he is going to be essential for us next season.
-
Have Denmark really played low block in the 3 euro games? Even against us Denmark had more shots / corners etc. Just seems to me they aren't playing a very high line.
-
The question for me is, do we actually need to keep him. He hardly set the world alight in the PL and i wouldn't be surprised if his limitations come to surface again this coming season. His stock might never get higher than it does now. At times i felt last season that the energy was coming from the wingers and having a more skillful playmaker would have been a benefit. This isn't to belittle his achievements with us (especially last season), it's just i'm not 100% sure KDH it worth holding on to if someone comes in with a 25mil bid.

Finances don’t build a team, talent and hard work does.
Chelmofox replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
Someone is worth what a club is willing to pay for them. Strange things have happened, but i don't think anyone is buying Lookman for £50mil. -
Not buying that - sorry. For the top clubs there is more demand than supply for FA Cup tickets. If we beat Chelsea and got to the Semi's, even with the member points i was on i bet i couldn't have got a ticket for me and the family. Community Shield offers another chance to see your team at Wembley if you are down the points tier.

How does playing at Wembley become burdensome?
-
I thought our fitness levels last season were largely very good, especially when you consider the amount of games many of the essential players played. Our game against Bournemouth was interesting from this regard as they looked far more fatigued than we did. Our problem last season was the lack of rotation and the impact that had on core players. Winks / KDH / Mavadidi / Fatawu / Vesty / Faes were literally playing 90 minutes every game. My hope is Cooper is able to work out better rotation and impact subs that means we don't overplay the core players.
-
Am i the only one not really bothered? If they can delay it till after our holiday the at least i won't have to be put under pressure to get it for the boy before we head off. Hate this trend of the new kits appearing last game of the season.

It’s in the app. I think it was an app exclusive or something.
-
Fair play - decent interview that. Dare i say, im looking forward to it.
-
They certainly don't come good if you castigate them after mistakes. VK had an ok game against us apart from when he got caught napping. But england got caught napping too. Mistakes happen - its how you deal with and develop from them tha matters.
-
He had some good ones too. He'd only just turned 20 when he joined us. Youth will make mistakes.

Who do you want for next season in the PL
Chelmofox replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
And is he actually worth it? -
If he gets it forward, then when will our fans know when to shout 'FORWARD!'. So confusing.

Perez will be off for £30 million to Chelsea after this performance.
