Not a huge one for drinking at games because once the seal is broken i need to visit the gents every 20 mins. But on the odd occasion it would be nice to be sat there with a beer. It was clear he had a huge amount of respect for Enzo, and Enzo gave him a lot of game time and we saw him improve significantly through the season. Im excited just to see him play again full stop, but not convinced Enzo put shackles on him at all. Concerned how Cooper will incorporate wingers into his system.

Play our cards right with Fatawu and he could go for a significant amount, although I imagine it would have to be Chelsea who are most likely to pay silly money. I think Hermansen could go for £25mil or so. From a pure profit perspective, obviously Nelson is the most interesting right now, but there is a lot of competition in central defence. We are still a few years away from Avles or Sammy getting big offers, and we would need Alves to extend his contract anyway.

The fact he's run down his contract tells me that he will be looking to get a nice bump on his wage. I don't think he will be looking for 40k a week. He will get what a club is willing to pay, so if he gets a nibble from a West Ham for example then he could be in with a chance for a decent salary. I was really just trying to counterpoint the 'he is free, so its a no brainer'. Only pay the salary we think he is worth, as he really isn't anything special.

There are still signing on fees and a salary to consider. Free doesn’t mean it costs you nothing. If he wants over 100k a week would you say that was good value?

Depends on what salary he is looking for. The historical leicester thing to do would be to get him on a free and pay him a stupid amount like we did for Bertrand. If its decent value then im up for it, but this lad is a huge unknown at PL level and lots seem to big him up as some sort of superstar in waiting.

Thread makes me feel that people seem to think that no other clubs sells players. The trick for any club is to sell them at the right time. Even the big boys do this (Real Madrid are brilliant at it).

Actually - not sure it is. KDH seemed personally driven to right some of the wrongs from the relegation season and contributed a huge amount to getting promoted. His stock is as high is its likely to ever be after a promotion season. Getting promoted would have been tougher without him and i don't think we would be getting more for him in a years time. Think selling now is the right business.

Survive next season, then i agree (although Alves contract needs sorting). And have a few more prospects poking through as well.

This is because the whole U21's is all at the same standard. Those ready for loans are a level above the rest of the U21's.

They are ranked 3rd by Fifa and Wales 29th. Rankings arent the be all and end all mind you, but there is something to take from that stat.
