  1. I think he would. And also, it would involve Rudkin going behind his back. Zero chance. Formation and lack of alternatives comes from the top.
  2. He even said in his recent interview that it was important to 'play the right way'. I think sticking to a system is part of any hiring plan for any manager. And athough we have Okoli and Nelson injured now, when they were available we had plenty of CB's who could play in a 3 (including Aluko if needed). I do not believe for one minute that it was impossible to do anything else.
  3. I've always presumed it was a bit of both. Rumours were that Cooper was not hands on at all and coupled with the fact that Cooper didnt play the Maresca way likely meant that the players opinions swayed the club more than it probably should have. I think Cooper was more of a wet blanket that most realise.
  4. He is contracted for 4 games - its nothing surely. Should have got him gone and brought Pearson in.
  5. Would love him to succeed for us. I think some of our fans will be on him quite quickly if he struggles though. But there is no reason why next season cant be the year he breaks through for us.
  6. Because he is sh1te and his record is worse than Marti's.
  7. I think its been very quiet with any news or rumours since Saturday. Rowett didnt face the fans at all after the game, which i thought might be a sign he thought he was done for. But all things considered, there has been very little mentioned about anything in socials or the media about him.
  8. I *think* the last time we won 3 games in a row was April 20th -> April 29th 2024 for that final push to win the championship. We've done 2 games i think twice since. This lot dont know how to win games.
  9. Watched the game yesterday. Wouldn't it be lovely for our experienced players to put in a performance like this? No one just standing on the ball in defence. Direct attacking play. Intelligent set pieces. Solid defending. A midfield that protects the defence. Physical players up for it. Surely its cheating just to not let the opposition constantly walk through your midfield?
  10. It doesnt matter how you work it out. The kids let us down, the experienced players were needed to get out us out of this mess. Stats just skew all that logical thinking. Why would i want to watch Monga and Page develop when i can watch Skipp or Winks stinking the place out, or Aribo literally having the ball hit his head by accident once. Why would i want to watch Aluko when i can watch the downfall of Riccy P happen in realtime. Why would i want to see Ochere or maybe Hutchinson (or Evans for that matter) get a chance when I can watch Ayew walk around the pitch limping like he has shat himself. We pays our chash to watch 'experience', and its that experience that has saved us from relegation to L1.
  11. Be nice to see a competitive game at the KP.
  12. Did you see their goal? Best example of pretending to mark a player I have ever seen.
  13. And BDCR, Daka and Riccy are ok? Riccy been our worst player this season. No matter what, we are going to have to play someone aweful.
  14. Yeah but Winksy and Vesty didn’t like him.
  15. He’s out of contract!
  16. For once I would like to see two 98 minute deflected goals for Ipswich.
  17. Ricardo doesnt tackle, he passing is mostly terrible, he hasnt scored for ages and he runs like he is in a space suit. Boggles my mind that he starts games.
  18. Sad thing is if they played more and we were 6th from bottom everyone would be calling it a disaster. I firmly believe we would be in a better position, especially if we had given Aluko a proper run of games.
  19. Im still waiting for that Tielemans replacement we all used to ponder about.
  20. Done a fantastic job to be fair. Dream of having a manager like him here.
  21. Wonder were they would loan him off to after the realise hes w@nk.
  22. I'm not really informed enough to make a call on it. But i imagine as time goes on, it gets harder and harder to recruit players on those models, especially if you are desperate for reinforcements and you think you are challenging higher up the table. If Villa/Newcastle/Palace etc are willing to offer guaranteed contracts, or even the remaining big 6 are happy to hand out silly long contracts just to have more bodies available, performance based ones become more difficult to negotiate. I imagine contract negotiations are not Rudkins strongest point at the best of times.
  23. hahahahhahahhahahahah
