Page gets a start - something to be excited about? I also presume Alves will be getting game time today and we will see Riccy at some point. This is what i wanted, but it has to come at a cost of having some of the senior players there too even if they are ones we would rather see elsewhere. I had assumed Soumare had exhausted all his credit, but there really isn't anyone else. I suppose Marti is gambling that he and Skipp will just miraculously click, and if they dont he has leverage with Rudkin. With no BEK, be really interesting to see how Page does.

Do you feel Kasey had a big future here? We have a lot of very good youngsters coming through. I feel torn on this. Met him at a signing and he was super friendly. Felt he had some good games under Enzo before his injury. I think he scored a belter against Ipswich last season. But, I just don’t feel we were going to get more out of him than we have already seen. Be interesting to see if Ipswich have a trick up their sleeve with him or they are panic buying. It’s quite a bit of cash. Kind of felt his energy would have suited what Marti wanted. But we can’t turn that sort of money down for someone low down the pecking order. Harsh.

I always felt Mads and Bilal were going. I just had a small hope after the Sheffield game that there was a chance he might stay.

After too much rose and a few Duvels last night I am now at peace with this transfer as long as we keep Fatawu. I loved watching Bilal play but his output always concerned me. Not bagging against Sheffield Weds summed him up, and it’s a part of his game he will have to improve on quickly when this move happens. We do have to bring someone in.
