  1. I prefer not to be disappointed when there is noone through the door I just cant see it happening this week.
  2. There wont be anyone coming in.
  3. He's had one senior cap and Southgate called him out as largely appalling in a post match interview. Good luck though JJ - gonna need it at Leeds.
  4. We will see with Monga, but i'm not expecting him to hang around either.
  5. Unpopular opinion from me. I felt JJ has been utter dog muck for at least 2 seasons now. How the heck we've got this fee for him is beyond me. He comes across as a nice bloke but last season i felt he gave the fans next to nothing - we stayed after home games and he largely ignored everyone. Doesn't make Leeds better and pure profit for us, plus a big wage gone. We have given him a lot. Good luck, but i've felt for a while he was someone who needed to go, and i have no delusions that he has any love for the club.
  6. I read 37.5m, which is still too much. But Ipswich bought him for about 20m.
  7. Have you got Trey Nyoni's number?
  8. Not running at all and eating absolute shite at the minute, and back over 80kg. I hate nearly being 50. Back to it next week.
  9. Édouard on for palace. Thought they had got rid of him.
  10. Scenes when he starts against Birmingham next to Jannik.
  11. Genuinely don't see this myself. When you consider who he has around him, he plays to the short stuff well. I notice he steps up even more when Winks is playing (who Mads had the luxury of an entire season with).
  12. Can't believe i am playing this game. Soumare was reported about £17 mil. £5 more than Kasey went for. Makes you think. Think i'll clean myself off and keep off the forum for a bit.
  13. He's not going to get any significant incomings imho. Re Ayew, we have limited options when Marti opts for the false 9 and for all of Ayew's faults (his pace and overreliance to draw a foul annoys the **** out of me), he is an adaptable player who does get stuck in. I strongly doubt he is someone Marti would have wanted to club to buy. Daka seems way off it, and other options up top are Mavididi (im not convinced, and he was injured anyway) and Evans (not in the squad and doesnt look ready). It pains me to say it, Ayew is the only option to start right now with Daka coming on to (hopefully, but doubtfully) make an impact. At this stage, especially if we are getting points on the board, i will give the manager time to build the framework he wants even when he doesnt have certain players who can fill those roles properly (i.e Ayew). Right now it's not about 'stopping' making mistakes, its about developing and adapting the team bit by bit using the players who have bought into it. I think yesterday was one of our youngest lineups ever - so mistakes are going to happen and should be used to learn from. I think the change in our pressing since Florentina is on purpose as i think Marti has had to deal with the understanding the players weren't ready to do this in more gritty championship games. I don't think we are playing how he wants to - i think he is being pragmatic and getting there slowly. Really need to see who he opts for when the window closes. If Winks is here I expect to see him being utilised more. I expect Bilal to be gone with no replacement, which means we have to use Winks and Page will be utilised more than he probably should be right now (which will hopefully be great for his long term career). But as we know there are problems with Winks. I real tough one for the manager this. We know Thomas is a limited player, but i genuinely think he is showing signs of improvement, and for Marti (as he appeared to Ruud) Thomas could be a work in progress. I agree he got outmuscled a number of times but he also made some crucial interceptions and created 2 good chances. I think most of us just see the faults in Luke rather than the better parts of the game. Everyone we play in that position gets pelters. We all know Ricardo is class above all this, but the guy is held together with sellotape. I can no longer get excited seeing Riccy P come on because i know we are 1 tough performance away from a 3 month lay off. Re Fatawu, our attacking options are limited. Yesterday they doubled up on him most game and Monga had chunks kicked out of him. However, the 1 time they didn't double up is when he scored. That time they couldn't double up because we beat the press quickly in the style that i think Marti is trying to impose. The good news here is that not only did that win us the game, it gives the coach something to work with. It has been for a few years now. Marti isn't going to change that in a month with no incomings.
  14. Was discussed not long after it was shown by sky. It’s a very small sample size skewed by the 2nd half vs Sheffield Weds. We had 2 shots on target yesterday. Everything is relative.
  15. Nathan Jones is a pri&k.
  16. Page would have learned a huge amount from this game. He made mistakes yet wasn't afraid to get stuck in. Actually felt he was growing more into the game just before he was subbed off but think that was fair enough. Maybe i need to lay off the sauce but i don't think we really missed BEK in the grand scheme of things (other than the flashiness). I hope Page continues to get chances, as starting a game is significantly harder than coming on and playing against tired legs. Interesting that Silko got some time rather than Alves. Was really hoping to see Alves as he featured quite a lot on the training videos.
  17. It's only the long balls and I think Mads was overrated at these (see West Hams last game). His ability to work with short balls with the defence and central midfield is actually pretty good. Improvement with long balls will come with time. Jakub is an excellent keeper.
  18. Of course we are worse - we've lost a bunch of players (including 2 very talented creative midfielders) and our talisman striker.
  19. Thats his classic. Gets under the ball somehow. Its a real skill.
  20. So Monga is a lemon now?
  21. Different keeper
  22. This. He is comfortable under pressure with his feet and they can trust to play back to him playing out of the back. He is also comfortable playing that ball to the central midfielder. Right now i would sooner have these attributes than a good long ball. I think that will come in time (and Mads long balls were not particularly great as well).
