  1. Our players aren’t good enough for the Prem, they’re refusing or can’t buy better players, no manager would be able to keep us up with our current squad, we’ll be in the Chsmpionship next season.
  2. Ah sod this I’m off to B&Q
  3. Oi Top, Look what happens when you employ a decent director of football. Sack Rudkin and get someone in who knows what they're doing https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/jan/31/arne-slot-credits-liverpool-sporting-director-richard-hughes-for-emergence-bournemouth
  4. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6100040/2025/01/31/is-ruud-van-nistelrooy-finally-making-positive-progress-at-leicester/?source=ukdailyemail&campaign=711528&userId=5980983
  5. It’s complete dog shit 💩 isn’t it. Useless ****ers
  6. So just to clarify, we’ve have a squad that’s weaker than the one that was relegated. We have several key players injured. we have hired a manager who has been promised transfers during the Jan window to give him the best chance of survival. And now…..it looks like we’ll be signing sweet **** all other than a cheapo right bsck. In any other line of work those responsible for this shit show would have been sacked yonks ago!! FFS what a omnishsmbles Rudkin and his dipstick minions are. bored of this season
  7. They better back him and bring in the players he needs. If they don’t then RVN won’t be at fault! It’ll be the club! Rudkin, Top et all. it’s sad to say but we’ve been in decline since that helicopter crashed. 😢
  8. What an absolute shit show!
  9. What’s RVN meant to do when one of the best keepers in the bottom half is injured, Ricardo is injured leaving a low confidence JJ to **** up each week, he’s having to use a 38 year old striker, Fatawu is injured , so is Ndidi. the squad is much weaker than the one that got relegated. We bought poorly in the summer! 25 million for Skip!!! FFS! and now it looks like RVN was told a lie about getting players in. If he’s not got the tools to succeed it’s not his fault. This is ALL on Top & Rudkin! Enzo could see what was going on and jumped ship
  10. I've lobbed in a tenner.
  11. Sir Alex, Pep and Slot would struggle with our squad. They’re simply not good enough. And Rudkin and his team STILL haven’t signed anyone that will strengthen our first team to remotely be in with a chance of staying up
  12. Yes fall guy. 😂😂😂 but maybe fool guy is better
  13. RVN is just a fool guy for years of failure.. it’s not his fault he’s not been backed or inherited a squad that is far weaker than the one that got relegated. sack Rudkin first!!!
  14. If I was RVN I’d be getting seriously pissed off with this shit show. He’d have every right to walk if Rudkin and his team fail to sign any more players. he really isn’t being set up for success. Actively helped to fail by the looks of it so far.
  15. Great for the players confidence this is. Especially JJ. I think RVN was right to go for it today. We need to get used to winning again. Its been bleak these last few weeks.
  16. If he's been lied to he has every right to walk away.
  17. I don’t think it is time! However I think it is time to completely restructure. Top needs to wipe the slate clean and employ a genuine DoF with a proven track record to run the club. you get the feeling the club is lurching from disaster to disaster with out any real guidance. I suspect a lengthy stay in the EFL or even the first division might focus his mind on what needs to be done. If that were to happen I think he might well sell. The current situation is horrendous to watch though.
  18. Sick of hearing about all this to be honest. It seems to me that the likes of Chelsea and Man City get away with it as they're seen as a top six club and anyone challenging the established Hierarchy are punished for attempting to build a competitive club able of competing against the big six. To me this PSR seems like a way to curtail the ambitions of "smaller" clubs. The whole thing seems designed to maintain the Status Quo. If they really wanted to make things fair why not introduce a level playing field and have a club salary cap across the whole league. Have the cap high enough to allow owners to build great squads but even enough to create true competition. The current system is utter w@nk.
  19. They won’t win it. It’s Liverpool’s. They’ll get champions league though.
  20. The most important thing we need in January is a new Director of Football to replace Rudkin who will run the club properly. Maybe even new owners. Sadly it'lll take years in the wilderness down in the EFL before this happens.
  21. Well fail to sign a RB by 14 seconds and I’ve Danny Ward another 4 year contract 🤢
  22. We’re just not good enough. We’ll be in the championship next year.
  23. It's time to gamble! It's either fly too close to the sun in terms of PSR rules or face complete oblivion down in the EFL. Those buggers will want to make sure we're shafted. If we get relegated we'll be down there for a good while so why not throw caution to the wind and go for broke. Things cant get any worse. We may as well get hung for a sheep rather than a lamb and all that jazz. I hope they give RVN exactly what he needs. Especially when it comes to strengthening defence. Top and Rudkin need to splash the cash on at least three perm transfer and two loans that'll go straight into the first team. No ifs. No buts.
  24. Unfortunately I think our troubles started the day Vichai died. He clearly was the one who had the business acumen to run successful organisations. Top doesn't have the talent his father had and so he lacks the instinct his father had. This means he is being advised poorly by the likes of Rudkin and others. He'd be better off hiring a proper DoF with proven experience and moving Rudkin over to look after his horses. I think a brilliant DoF is by far the most important transfer the club needs ASAP. Am I right in thinking when Walsh left and Congerton/Rodgers joined we changed our recruitment model? We need to return to our previous model. We need to get much smarter. We should be looking at, smarter, quicker, data driven methods of recruiting. There must be ways in which we can harness teams of young talented analysts to assist experienced scouts in unearthing talent. PSR really has done us. Poor decision in the transfer market and appaling contracts, yes, but it's getting more and more difficult for promoted teams to survive their first season because of the financial restraints. Is there an argument for allowing promoted teams to spend a bigger % of their PSR in their first season so they can at least compete with the established teams. When teams are forced to sell their best assets time and time again just to adhere to FFP making them weaker then something is wrong. Maybe it's time for the Prem/FA to introduce squad wage caps. Something needs to change. Enzo jumping ship came as a shock although who can blame him, with a looming point deduction and sod all cash to spend on players. This sent the club into panic mode and we ended up with Copper. Which also meant we couldn't attract decent players. Who in their right mind would join a team facing point deductions and relegation. We just don't have good enough players to compete. And the way the PSR/FFP rules are set up we aren't likely to get the talent required unless we are at the cutting edge of recruitment (see above) Who's at fault. Tragedy, Bad luck, poor management, poor recruitment, Top, Rudkin, PSR/FFP. Maybe relegation, new owners are what the club needs long term??
