  1. Cheers Enzo, nice one
  2. Great sub from Slot
  3. I think we can get 15m for him easily, honestly. He's the sort of defender who is great when you have to do relatively little defending; a big fish in an easier league could easily make the best of him. Could see him succeed for an attacking, ball dominant side in the Netherlands/Turkey/Portugal or France quite easily.
  4. Sheff Utd should be planning with one eye on the prem - if they think he'd be a useful player there or even in a promotion push, I think we should really err towards keeping him
  5. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/leicester-city-player-clear-out-9859109 Never say never, eh?

    Whisky

Redbreast is such a great brand, never had one I didn't like.
  7. He was good for Villa back in the day, can't say I've seen much of him since he moved to Newcastle.
  8. I see something in him and he's contracted until 2028. Don't see the rush to shift him unless we are going to make 2-3x what we paid for him
  9. Can't help but feel the same. What's the ****ing point? Can't spend, can't develop your own players, just suck it up while the big boys roll in the TV money and make out like they're hard done by. If the FA were serious about keeping the football pyramid healthy, they'd have changed the way the youth system works to funnel all the talent to the same handful of clubs - who are usually the clubs who need it the least. You just have to hope your players fly under the radar and push on after they turn 18 at the moment.
  10. Think a return of Moyes is most likely as he's still a free agent and seen as a sober and sensible manager. Could see them try and throw the bag at McKenna - doubt he leaves though. Could see them try for Will Still at Lens too. Maybe Terzic? They want to score goals and he can coach a team to do that.
  11. Thought it seemed too sensible to be true.
  12. that is on paper an outrageous coup for them, wow i suppose they're expecting bellingham to go
  13. He walked away from PSV in a much better position than we are now. Wouldn't be surprised, and I don't think anybody would hold it against him if it came out the club hadn't been honest with him.
  14. Didn't he cost Palace 14m to sign outright? If these numbers are true, we've had our pants down and not for the first time.
  15. Looks like he's off to Monaco (or West Ham if they can gazump them)
  16. No matter how you slice it, Ranieri was more important and he was out the next season. He can't eat out on being DoF of that title win forever.
  17. QPR with one loss in their last 11 games, us with only one win in our last 11; feels like we're going to get embarassed.
  18. You can only beat the league you're in, in our defence. They also spent 100m+ to make this squad. They're also not going to win the league short of a horrible disaster befalling both the Liverpool squad.
  19. I just cant shake the feeling that basically since Puel left, we've not had a cohesive team building approach to recruitment, instead just picking up players based on backroom deals with agents or fishing in the bargain bin from low end PL clubs. We need a total reform of leadership, but that feels totally fanciful.
  20. He featured quite heavily for the Brest side that finished 3rd last year. He was linked with a lot of clubs before going to Marseille, so I think the issue is more likely that he won't come here rather than not being good enough.
  21. It's tricky, from what I understand they've split with their dodgy investor which means they're not a "wealthy" club (in the sense that they were in the first division, pissing money away on dross) but by the context of the 2nd division they're not struggling. From speaking to fans I know here in Berlin, they don't want to spend their way out of the second division but tap into the insane pool of talent that Berlin has. Maza represents that as he's a born and raised Berliner. I think the deal could be done but I doubt it's this winter.
  22. Unless he absolutely wants out and can't see himself settling in the UK, I don't see the point in getting rid of him when we have Faes/Coady/Souttar all on (presumably) more money while not being (to my eyes) much better players. Would sooner see some of the extremely average players we have littering the squad moved on over those who could still come good.
  23. He's magic, but I don't think Hertha will sell now unless they have to. He's very much the bright point of a side that is struggling to find things to be happy about.
  24. would have thought he was busy in the middle east
