  1. Kind of like it as a minimal alternative for the occasional away kit or something. Like that the fox is vaguely L shaped.
  2. Price just went down I reckon
  3. Could be very important. Set pieces are very valuable assets for a team trying to nick a point here and there (moreso than a team who will dominate games from the get go)
  4. Time to back him regardless of how you feel about it.
  5. Positive is I'll be getting a LOT of mileage out of one of my favourite memes
  6. We need a total cleanout, from Top to bottom. Nothing to do with them picking Cooper, but just everything about the way the club has been ran for 5+ years has been a disasterclass in throwing away something which took years to build.
  7. Gotta back him and hope he knows what he's doing. I'm okay with this choice. Between this and the Pistons firing Monty Williams, it's been an interesting morning for manager drama for the teams I support.
  8. Went and read some Benfica comments about him - lots of negativity, lots of comparisons to Seferovic. Seen him described as a high energy, smart player who makes a lot of runs and presses hard, but who is technically lacking and misses a lot of open chances.
  9. No chance we can afford this, although he really looks like some player. Angel di Maria 2.0
  10. What a ****ing disaster of a signing this would be. All I hear about him from Newcastle fans is how they can't wait to be rid of him.
  11. Honestly, depending on who we get in as a manager, wouldn't be the worst sale. He's a very good keeper, but there are better keepers available if we just want a wall at the back rather than somebody to play with the ball at their feet. I saw we were linked with Cooper from Plymouth who is a player I really rate - not sure if he'd be able to make the jump to the prem yet, mind.
  12. I get where you're coming from, but if we do take a gamble on somebody who turns out to be the second coming of Pep, we won't be able to keep a hold of them with the way we're ran and then we're back to square one. I mean hell, Maresca is a slightly above-average Pep impersonator and he's getting poached after one good season. I'd take 2 or 3 years of stability under Moyes at this point in the hope that we can get a clear-out behind the scenes and work to build from there. We hit the lotto once and we didn't/couldn't capitalise on it for long-term growth, I think we need a different approach.
  13. Completely disagree on the lowest high. He won a European trophy for West Ham, I don't think any other manager with a major trophy would even look at us at this point. Boring football by all accounts, and I understand not wanting to subject ourselves to that.
  14. Given that we've been scouting Mikautadze, I'd be surprised of Camara wasn't also somebody we've looked at. Speaking of Mikautadze, I'm not sure what happens to him now that Metz are relegated - they had a 10m EUR buy option, but that could be a lot. If they don't activate it, I suspect Ajax will ask for more.
  15. Is there a world in which we get a new manager announcment directly after Chelsea announces Maresca (probably) tomorrow?
  16. I have no particular love for BVB but I'm ****ing sick and tired of Real Madrid winning everything
  17. Might end up with Big Sam playing 4-4-2 with Soutts up front at this rate, don't want to be make any big calls.
  18. Doubt he'd come here with everything hanging over the club atm, and doubt we could even afford him if he would. Still, he'd probably be our starting striker if he did come and I wouldn't be opposed.
  19. Which by extension, means a manager who won't jump ship when we (almost certainly) get relegated again.
  20. I honestly think they're sensing a shift in how manager hirings work. They're just going to keep a ton of managers on gardening leave so that if any other club wants to come get them, they have to pay a fee. They'll snatch up managerial talent like they do youth talent.
  21. No hard feelings, thanks for the promotion. Obviously hope he doesn't do well for Chelsea, but hope he absolutely rinsed them for a payday.
  22. Not really in favour of redesigning the badge, but would be for us having a simpler badge for kits - sort of like how Liverpool has their classic badge with the flames and text, but then all their kits just have the bird, or how Arsenal have just the cannon. Just the cinquefoil + foxes head could look very clean. Also love the running fox, but I think that should be for more once in a while special kits.
  23. Remember reading he had a bit of an attitude problem from the Antwerp fans, but hard to say if they believe it or if it's just standard fan frustration.
  24. I want him to stay, but only because I don't think our board has the capability to hire a manager and build a squad that can stay up, with a points deduction and the financial constraints that we're going to have. I doubt we'd manage evem without having also to find a manager. That said, 10 million in the kitty is hard to turn your nose up when we're in the mess we are. Really comes down to who would take the job after him - the first names that pop into my head aren't super inspiring.
  25. Thought Coady was on very high wages, not sure Stoke is going to really be able to cover much of them.
