I think we are now short: Striker - where we are reportedly looking at Adebayo (sic) and Weghorst so we are clearly going for Plan B strikers to add to what we have. Okoli a total bombscare. Can pass but seemingly can't get rid quick enough. Souttar played like a pub player. Soumare hasn't changed some nice touches but conservatively gave the ball away about 9 or 10 times. Positives were McAteer playing inside right. Golding looks like he's got all week on the ball and uses it well. Coady and Nelson looked good. Fatawu and Mavididi combined well a few times and can definitely flex positions more this year. Cannon looked lively Alves was a big plus and can really take that inside left position and go for it if Cooper trusts him

Looks total quality and if we had the luxury you'd send him to Luton or West Brom. Like KDH or Barnes, to learn how to impact a game and then come back to the first team.

I can definitely see Faes, Thomas and maybe Choudhury going in the window. Despite clearing a large amount off the wage bill (Iheanacho, Praet. Albrighton must be £12m per year off the total alone) and selling KDH i think if we are to sign any of Soule, Skipp, Sargent, Saelemakers then we will need to have cleared a few more assets that can actually realise value. Interesting that we've seen so many pictures of Alves and Braybrooke around the squad. either its advertising them for loans or they are going to be closer to the first team squad (as they are free to register) this year.

Carlton Morris looked good to me last year but no one has mentioned him too much as a target for promoted sides.

I don't think he needs to be a world beater. He's good defensively. Has a trick and a few ways to score a goal. He also operated with zero support from left back last year. If we play with a wing back or left back this year. He could get more one on ones higher up the pitch. Cooper needs to get in his and fatawus head early and give them clear licence to take their man on and tell them they won't be dropped for losing the ball or taking on a shot.

It's worth remembering that while we have some gaps - we do have a spine of a squad that is already relatively fit for the premier league and has experience of succeeeding or staying in it: Ricardo, Coady, Vestegaard, Faes, Justin, Winks, Ndidi, Vardy all have big prem and international experience through the spine of the team. We have some players that made a BIG impact in the champhionship and who are ready to play in the Premier League: Hermansen, Mavididi, Fatawu are big assets who should be backed and given confidence. They could well be £20-30m+ assets after 1 season in the premier league. Fatawu could be the breakout star of the season. Prospects & Youth Internationals: McAteer, Cannon, Kristiansen, Stolarcyk, Nelson, Braybrooke, Alves, Golding should all be in our around the 1st team squad and ready to make a difference If we have bought in Okoli, Reid and O'Hare then we have bolstered the numbers in 3 key positions without necessarily troubling the 1st X1 Striker, CAM, left sided defender are our 3 big holes which could well be funded by losing Daka, Soumare, Ward, Choudhury etc

we don't really have a no10 at the club though unless Alves starts to get 1st team games, so it feels like 343 would suit current squad better. That said. If we get Sara or another player like that then you never know. Our best assets last year were our two inverted wingers though, so would be a shame not to set up to exploit them.

i think we need to play 343 next season, very similar to Switzerland. get Justin, Ricardo, Kristiansen up the flanks. Play a front 3 of Mavi (inside left), Vardy, Fatawu (inside right). Use Winks, Ndidi, Golding, Braybrooke, Soumare, Choudhury etc in the middle. use Alves, McAteer, Cannon for a bit of impact
