His name sounds like Harry Kane trying to pronounce the name of a large Scottish landmark. it's a no from me...

Did well for Bologna. I thought he looked like one of the unfittest 22yo's I've ever seen. Was breathing out his arse when he came off quite early and had been gassed several times by saka and Walker.

Vestegaard wasn't used by Denmark to dictate play at all. His deep sitting position invited opposition on as the game wore on (which happens for Leicester) as his lack of pace is exacerbated when tired. Christensen and Anderson ran the defensive show and Vesty got done for pace alarmingly a couple of times. Big warning sign for prem. Kristiansen should be in squad unless someone offers £20m +

If we get Potter i will be happy

Leicesters best chance of success this year is ]hoping the bigger clubs come back from Euros absolutely knackered. We put out the team that finished last season and hit the ground running. We could wipe out points deduction in 3 or 4 games and kick on....

Who do you want for next season in the PL
FosseSpark replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
Think we will see Kristiansen, Soumare, Daka, Ward, Souttar etc follow Praet Iheanacho and Albrighton out of the door. I think we will wait a little while for an appointment and so need to start pretty similar to last season to try and carry some continuity through to the first part of the season. id like to see Nelson and Alves bought in as they are clearly top prospects and could be big assets for us if they kick on. short at left back, 8 and striker with the departures before we think about any other positions. starting XI for first fixture... Hermansen Nelson Vestergaard Faes Ricardo Winks Fatawu Alves Dewsbury-Hall Mavididi Vardy -
I don't think we have the luxury of loaning Alves and Braybrooke out if they are in the England u20 team with Nelson. Means they are right up there in terms of quality players at 19/20. With Dewsbury-Hall ready to go I think having Alves around to play inside left or inside right no 8 will be key.

I don't think Cooper woukd be too bad. Did well with England age groups. Did OK with a signing approach worse than Chelsea's and knitted together a good blend. Looks like he's 3 white wines in though. Which is ok when you're winning. Not when he's defending a 3-0 home loss where Vestergaard's arse has fallen off.

There's only one thing for it. Get the band back together: Vardy installed as player/manager with Andy King and Nugent as assistants Schmeichel replaces the Birch Wasilewski and Huth as coaches - to beat down on anyone who doesn't do as told Mahrez in charge of contract small print (poacher turned game keeper) Kante in on accounts to bamboozle the auditors and double count all income. Morgan can shake up the booze suppliers, Drinkwater on corporate hospitality. Fuchs on club shop and merch Ulloa on fame management and how we see out the last 10 minutes. Okazaki to release a new version of when you're smiling (his little face!) Danny Simpson on social media and pr Albrighton driving the bus De Laet and Nathan Dyer managing loans Schlupp on odd jobs. Chilwell on receiving the ball and playing it back inside to the centre half

No way we get 15 points. even if we have a 1 year instance of loss, we then got relegated trying to stay in line.
-
how come, just out of interest. Did a great job getting them up. Well thought of. Attacking football, could bring Barkley and Carlton Morris with, which would be nice cheap additions to the squad.
-
How about Rob Edwards at Luton?
-
I dont think Mark Robins would be a bad shout. Played for us, sets up an exciting side that has taken down multiple prem sides and us this season with hardly any investment. He would be a leftfield shout, but he has done his dues.
-
Maresca will do well at Chelsea as he has all the players ready made to play his style an doesnt rely on full backs and strikers. Both of which chelsea are shit at signing. Still a **** though. Hope all his hair falls out.
-
Id take Soucek, Fornal, Benrahma RIGHT NOW
-
Not from what i saw at West Ham. He had Bowen, Kudus, Paqueta, Antonio etc running on and they scored / conceded quite a lot after losing Declan Rice. In current set up, i live in terror of us constantly watching Vestergaard trying to lasoo or body slam a prem striker as they run through clean on goal after skinning him.
-
I would be happy for Moyes to come in and get backed in as much as he can be. He's achieved more than most british managers in the game, and built a side that achieved a lot at West Ham. We could do A LOT worse. I agree that i can see Maresca being gone by christmas, for one reason or another, even if we are 15th or 16th - because his style will have been put under a lot of pressure due to not having the perfect personnel. At Chelsea i think he would have them top 6 as he's got ready made players to play his style.
-
Think there are a few interesting players among those about to be relegated. Mengi, Morris, Chong, Barkley at Luton, Hamer at Sheff Utd, Bruun Laarson at Burnley could all represent value for money to bring in to bolster the squad alongside some no doubt more interesting signings from abroad. Barkley could complement Winks quite well in our system i think, both on a similar career arc which could make it a good fit.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
FosseSpark replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Can see it being a right old revolving door this summer. Only player on the below list i would offer a contract is Vardy: Albrighton already gone Vestegaard proven to not be at Premier League level - (maresca can't be blind to his titanic like turning pace) Iheanacho and Praet - not playing under Maresca and not going to tear up the prem Ndidi - heavily rumoured to be getting a contract elsewhere and physically shot. Assuming an average of £80k p/w that is £20.8m off the wage bill at a stroke - only cutting 2 players that have featured regularly, and who we know won't be part of a premier league future team. -
2024/25 Season Tickets: Renewal Dates & Prices Confirmed
FosseSpark replied to Ian Nacho's topic in Leicester City Forum
Do they only take full season hospitality bookings prior to season starting, or can you opt for half? -
No Hannah Cain?
-
Not sure that's true about Mavididi. He just has to check back in and think as he doesn't know whether Daka or our lone striker will be in the box. He's got all the pace and tricks he needs to be succesful. For me i think Mads, Stola, Ricardo, Nelson, Justin, Winks, McAteer, Alves, KDH, Mavi, Fats, Vardy have all got something to offer. Everything else is up for grabs in a big way. Think we need the Enzo way but with some proper tough nuts down the spine. Can't be a soft touch like last time.
-
Surely theres match choice for last game of season?
-
Could see an Italian club taking a chance on Vardy. Would love to see him bag 20 at AC Milan...
