I don’t know, I can’t help shake that Cooper has pushed for “experienced PL players”. Would Enzo have genuinely filled our squad with both Ayew and Reid?

I think you’ve completely missed my point, someone suggested Ayew contributes with goals and assists. His overall stats are hideous. Zaha on the other hand scored double digits for Palace 3 times and was their talisman for years. Zaha on loan was a win/win, Ayew on a three year deal is not.

As in Olise’s NINETEEN matches played and scored 10 with 6 assists. Don’t be silly now.

Which was his highest goals and assists return in years. His last three seasons looked as follows - 20/21: 1 goal, 3 assists 21/22: 3 goals, 3 assists 22/23: 4 goals, 3 assists He turns 33 in less than 4 weeks and would be on a three year deal, no thank you.

That wouldn’t even be deliberate. Have you seen him slowly jog back after three players run past him. Has to be one of my least favourite players in recent seasons and that’s some going.

Pipes on RL has said numerous times that he lacks that pace to get away from defenders. Not saying that Stephy won’t have a part to play in our fight to stay up but I agree with the original poster, we don’t have this devastatingly rapid front line if include Stephy in that.

Loving the conversation mate. I would like to think that our academy is light years (as it should be) of Swansea and Forest. I guess what I’m trying to suggest is that Cooper promoting youth is a narrative that I don’t 100% believe in. Hopefully Alves, Nelson and Braybrooke prove me wrong and become our next sellable assets (sad times but a reality for a club of our size).

Great shout to be fair mate 👌🏻 Out of those mentioned other than Gibbs White has he actually managed them at club level?! I can’t think of countless players that he’s brought through from his clubs academy but could be completely wrong.

I think Cooper and a reputation with promoting youth is nothing more than a myth. He had great success with England’s U17’s but can’t think of many youth players at Swansea or Forest? Johnson being his only example actually screams the opposite.

The price tag does scare me for a player with a lot of question marks about making the step up. But before PSR, I wouldn’t have been so cautious it’s a simple yes from me.

I’m sorry but no. I know saying how bad Ward is a running joke on here, not even disputing that he isn’t BUT that team had goals in it. Where are we going to get our goals from as it stands? We have zero creativity other than unproven PL wingers. Our squad value must also be the lowest it’s been in how long?

That would have to be our worst PL starting 11 since the Mickey Adams era surely? Depressing when read it like that.
