  1. I mean, we’re comparing him to Gray who was playing in the PL? I think the jury is out on Stephy myself.
  2. I wish I had your optimism but that’s some encouraging facts. I just think we look mentally shot (Enzo included).
  3. The club not learning from only having Barnes as a LW has once again NOT be learnt from. He has been extremely poor since his purple patch in December but he knows he’ll still start 95% of games. I think he’s a very average winger in the Championship though but hoped he was proving me wrong. Not our biggest issue with the fact we have 3 fit CM’s BUT he (like a few others) needs to start influencing games if we want to stop this slump.
  4. I’ve heard about Klopp’s mentality monsters…..we have mentality midgets. No club in this league (which has proven earlier in the season is DROSS) fear us anymore…the blue print to beat us is there for all to see.
  5. Conceding two goals from three in total and two on target is a very alarming stat. Then throw in how below par all 11 players were on the back of three straight league defeats….that is a cause for concern surely?
  6. It’s all about not panicking but 7 shots and 1 on target doesn’t help with the “we need to be more ruthless” lessons from the last two league games.
  7. The only saving grace is Hamza could move into midfield with Doyle/Coady coming on if really needed to.
  8. Yet he always zips it right up to his nose 🙈
  9. Faes is neither fast or consistent though 😜 Imagine how much Cags would have developed under Enzo, he had every attribute to be a beast under Enzo ball.
  10. Who would you snog and avoid mate? Or am I on the wrong thread 😜
  11. Which seems to be an issue with a lot of our wingers at times. I’m not knocking Enzo but the difference when our wingers take players on or play it safe seems to set the tone for our entire set up.
  12. Starting Hamza in the inverted FB role to release Ricky in the 8 (at least until Ndidi is back) is surely our strongest midfield.
  13. Start them all 🤞🏻
  14. Agreed. A great analogy.
  15. @Pub breath let’s say we both get promoted next season….will it matter in the slightest? As guess what, whether it’s Leeds or Leicester, we’ll both be down the bottom end fighting for survival. This conversation was the same for us beating Reading’s record, I couldn’t care less. Look at Reading now, a terribly run club 16th in League One who lost at home to Shrewsbury this weekend. I’m sure they’d trade places with someone like Brighton who didn’t even win the Championship.
  16. @Pub breath I’ve only just read some of your posts but not sure what you’re actually trying to achieve by coming on a Leicester forum spouting off about “forget August and we’d be better than 70’s Brazil, more of an attraction than the Harlem Globetrotters blah blah. Have a word with yourself mate and think why you’re even on here? We love opposition fans on here and have numerous regular posts from top opposition fans btw.
  17. Thomas described as a pacy fullback made me spit out my drink. His lack of athleticism was a stand out issue for me. He clearly hasn’t kicked on and for both parties it’s probably best that he moves on rather than we try to make a few ££ on him (by extending his contract).
  18. Best advice all day. My favourite quote, “Name me one successful manager who is a LEGO haired vegan” WOW!! All joking aside, does sound like RM is tinkering a lot since their first defeat which can only be really good for us.
  19. We’re going to have to agree to disagree so won’t add anything further than comfort when this group of players in previous seasons and more alarmingly this season can’t handle pressure means a lot less comfort for me. I guess it stops it from being boring and stops the record nonsense that was becoming nauseating to me. All I have ever cared about is promotion from this league.
  20. I see where you’re coming from on the 80 minute performance BUT a game of football is played over 90 minutes so not sure how “great we were for 80 minutes” should give as much comfort as some make out. Obviously it’s better than getting out played for 80 minutes but it also could mean that like a percentage of fans (as it appears to be) Enzo/players could be ignorant to our obvious flaws which is our complete lack of ability to weather any pressure without folding like a pack of cards. A big, ball winning DM offering protection is something that we need (in either league) next season but is that “the Enzo way”?
  21. Or the problem was both? The way our defensive ability seemed to be amateur hour cannot be overlooked. Any bit of sustained pressure and they have shown this season that they 5hit the bed. If we do get promoted, we would get punished week in, week out if had that issue.
  22. Is the panic lever solely pulled based on last night or recent seasons or more alarmingly a fair few of our 90 minute performances against Leeds (both games), Ipswich (both games), Middlesbrough’s first half performance was honking. Football is emotive so might be fuelled a bit by that but we have hit a mini blip at a terrible time in the season.
  23. I can’t comment on the Ipswich ones as can’t remember the defending BUT Hamza spread himself (could argue that he should have closed Gray down) but Faes’s defending was absolutely shocking. With no VAR he was more worried about where his hands were rather than actually blocking the ball….I miss the days when your CB’s would literally throw their body on the line to keep the attacker out.
  24. I woke up feeling almost exactly the same. We have such a lop sided squad full of GK’s, CB’s and strikers! Two out and out wingers, too many players who don’t actually have a “best position” which is very frustrating considering we have by far the biggest wage bill in the league.
  25. But that’s two losses against Leeds (our closest rival), almost identical points dropped against Ipswich (twice) when should have put the game to bed. We have an extremely soft under belly when the pressure is put on. The defending for the last 15 minutes was Sunday league, where are the so called leaders, on last nights showing - Hamza was the calmest head in the last 15 minutes (at least twice he had to push Ricky P and others away from pointless scraps) our heads dropped and with our next few games and mini blip that’s a concern.
