When you say he'd be far better as a wingback I can only assume you mean we'd be far better defensively if we didn't rely on him to defend, because in my mind if you're a wingback you're expected to be pretty good going forward. Moreso if you're not being expected to help out the defence. And he's shit. He's got no understanding with whoever plays in front of him, it's not just Mav. His crossing is nothing special, he doesn't play through lines or pick out runs. He can't beat a man for pace, he can't dribble a player. Making him a wingback is just giving him a free pass to be a passenger. He's shit.
