Cases of successful recovery’s regarding form for explosive players are much smaller. Hopefully he’s an outlier but off the mark he won’t be as quick. Thankfully he has a good right and left foot and can play. If he’s willing to put the work in to adapt his game after this he’ll be fine. Ronaldo had to completely change his game after his knee injury at 29, but did it successfully. Tough example but if he works hard he’ll do it

I think if we go down he’s off anyway. He is class, but just can’t stay fit for more than half a season and isn’t getting any younger. His value is decent now and we’re desperate for players. I agree tho we’ll probably buy Will Hughes for 30 mill and call it a day

Love him but if we can get 20 million pure profit, we can re invest that in younger talent that could keep us up/ get us back up. We don’t go down with him and no chance we would have been relegated that following season with the rubbish in the league that season. Single biggest factor imo. Could have had Rodger’s till the end we’d still be in the prem. Ward in goal that season was an abomination.
