  1. Exactly. There does seem to be less outright defence of Aiyawatt I think anyway. But the narrative is now more just anti-protest, need to support the team to get through this etc. I didn’t see Sheff Weds fans worrying about how the players felt when they came up late to the stands at ours. Or when they boycotted the cup game against Leeds just after. They trusted that the players and staff ‘got it’. If we don’t trust that our players will, then (as we already know), they are part of the problem. Also, protests outside the ground can still be done without taking it in the ground if that’s how they feel. Speaking of the Wednesday game, I wonder when the irony will hit these people that they applauded and supported the efforts of the Wednesday fans yet attack our own fans for trying to prevent our club following the same path as them.
  2. To be fair, I have already given up engaging on there. They are a lost cause.
  3. You’d said you’d happily see the club disappear rather than forego the achievements. Then when it was mentioned about future generations, you said your kids support Man City. Very clearly not bothered about the club being there for future generations. This club has been going since 1884, set up and supported by generations of our ancestors. It’s not about winning trophies. It’s about community and having a club to support.
  4. Yeah I got told ‘it might not be the group for me’
  5. A few for you Are they going to hire a van displaying in neon ‘Top is a c@@t’ as happened with Jon Rudkin? Because that was just embarrassing. You’ll get short change in here for this one Adam. We are mainly pro supporters through the good and the bad on this group. Can't you meet somewhere else? I drink in the f bar we don't want you there There full of bullshit all the protesting they do and nothing changes don't need them in our club there just a toxic group if they don't want to get behind the team they should stay at home win lose or draw I'll still support my team whatever league were in Seriously bore off & go talk to Union FS & The Foxes Trust! Get behind the team & let’s get this season done. Whatever happens I am a Leicester City supporter & always will be, if we get relegated I’ll still be there like I was last time in League 1. I am sick of all this moaning & whinging it achieves absolutely nothing & just frustrates everyone. We need to unite & support the team #LTID #FOXESNEVERQUIT - this one told Adam to go and support Anstey Nomads when challenged Bore off no one’s interested Give it a rest , stop complaining, you and your like are making it toxic , King Power would need close to 1 billion pound to get the money back they have invested in our club . If we do go into league 1 who would buy us ? Unless you have that money then please tell me who has???
  6. ^^^ see we are thinking on the same lines
  7. It’s rattled a few . Same as always, any genuine points about our trajectory are just met with comments like ‘go and support Anstey Nomads’. Really productive like… I went on that group as I had to see what it was all about following the rave reviews from @The Year Of The Foxand it’s as incredible as promised! They won’t see it until as someone said on another post, the turnstiles are boarded up one day. And then it’ll be a shrug, ‘well at least we saw it all’ and off to do shopping or something else and they’ll forget all about the club before long.
  8. Such a selfish, ‘I’m alright so stuff others’ attitude unfortunately.
  9. It’s a valid point. People say we will be stuck with these players but even once the out of contract lot go, relegation to L1 is a different scenario to from the PL to Championship. Many of these players seem useless to us but there will be movement. Players like Faes will return to the continent. Vestergaard as well probably. We then have the perfect storm that our kids are actually quite good. Monga will go, Nelson too. We might be able to keep Page, Aluko, Evans, Alves and Braybrooke. That’s a core group there. But there would need to be a lot coming in and can we do it? I could see us being quite mismatched and Sheffield Wednesday like. If we do keep them, Aluko and Braybrooke are the first 2 on the team sheet in terms of obvious positions. It might be a struggle if you had a midfield 2 for it to be Braybrooke and Page so it either needs to be a manager who does the 2 8’s system with Page and another either side of Braybrooke. Or if it’s a 10 system, Page further forward but that would push Alves further wide. Evans if he doesn’t become a regular for a struggling Northampton side before the end of this season might be a bench option. GK Aluko - CB - CB - LB Braybrooke - CM RW - Page - Alves ST or GK Aluko - CB - CB - LB RCM - Braybrooke - Page RW - ST - Alves Problem is we’d need some experience with a positive attitude around these youngsters. I see Bruno Berner and Christian Fuchs for example as similar players (albeit different levels) in different successful eras for us. A Berner type at left back would be a positive. But yeah, under this ownership it’ll likely be a complete shambles.
  10. This isn’t even an exaggeration but they will literally just say they have seen it all and at least we won the league and the cup and head off to do something else with their Saturday afternoons (tv schedule pending ). Unbelievably really.
  11. Yeah, I get why people do it. It is emotive. It feels good there and then. But we need to take a step back and realise that what might feel good in the heat of the moment, isn’t actually what is best for the long term goal of saving our club.
  12. Spot on Ben and I came to say the same thing. Whilst I am on record with being uncomfortable with the statue where it is (I’d have it in the memorial garden), there are things that need to be avoided to make this successful. 1. Defacing the statue 2. Cambodia/Thailand stuff 3. Personal chanting and abusive language I get people are emotional and angry and do these things to get a reaction. But after the Norwich away game, there was a reaction in the form of a pathetic statement but nothing in terms of positive change. If the aim is to force positive change and get the club back. We need more onside, be that media awareness and sympathy as well as increasing numbers of fans joining the cause. There are many fans who agree with the sentiment but don’t want to associate with the points above, just as they don’t want to be told not to attend games. But these people might be more inclined to join a protest march/outside the ground and this is the momentum needed. Keep it factual. Highlight the issues and raise awareness. It doesn’t need to get personal. There are so many failings that can have a light shone on them and the other stuff waters down the valid grievances.
  13. I don’t understand how it has happened as I have always seen through it, but cult is exactly what it is. The same principles are at play and people have been sucked in to this scenario where they must defend their leader at any cost. But yeah, absolutely. It is clear KP never respected history spanning back to 1884. Even early in their ownership, there were concerned raised by people that it all seemed to be about 2010 onwards and never any acknowledgement of prior achievements. People have allowed one man to become bigger than the club. A man who is destroying the club. A club established and passed on through generations of our ancestors. It’s heartbreaking and devastating.
  14. First bolded bit - this is exactly what it is. Perfect analogy. Second bolded bit. It infuriates me. The holier than thou superior attitude. Most of us who are pissed off that I can see have been around during our previous worst time (2002-2009). The argument holds no weight. It is purely about us having higher standards for basic things like effort and care for the club and wanting a club to support in the future.
  15. Emotions? People then posting comments like ‘bet people are happy’ is classic cheap point scoring. I haven’t said anything like that by the way and am pissed off Blackburn won with ease away at somewhere we were 4-0 down at half time! So I absolutely do not want us to go down. But if we somehow stay up from here, anyone who doesn’t think it’ll be another season around the bottom 3 and circling the drain is kidding themselves. As is anyone who thinks Aiyawatt would sell if we got to the PL because we categorically are not featuring back in the PL ever under this ownership. The short-medium term future is relegation to League 1. What comes next who knows. Anything on a scale of he sells up to something competent, future relegation to L2, administration or bust. But if people think that the decline happening faster than a drawn out circling of the drain in this league is preferable, that is their opinion.
  16. Nobody wants us to go down! People might be saying it out of desperation or hope that something good may come out of it but nobody is happy we are falling to pieces. Silly comment.
  17. Fair enough. I wondered based on the quote. Essentially, I think the issue is, we are divided because too many do back the owner and it means the focus in not where it should be. I don’t think people want us to go down or are licking their lips though. I’d love to tell those who are guilty of the points I raised above but I am massively pissed off at Blackburn winning today so clearly don’t want us to go down!
  18. Hard to get any joy when the result elsewhere could be seeing us relegated. Obviously I know we can’t do anything about it. Just saying if there was a choice, I’d take a Blackburn defeat over us winning this game. Speaks more for the situation we are in that this is the way of thinking…
  19. More concerned Blackburn have gone 3-1 up to be. Would rather we lose this game if it meant a QPR comeback to win.
  20. Presuming this was aimed at me given you blank quoted my last comment? Of course owners will go when it suits them but does that mean that when your club is being ripped apart by incompetent management, fans should just stay quiet? I have never actually suggested people shouldn’t attend the games. Possibly supporting a concerted effort to make a point I.e West Brom yes but not ongoing. My issues are; - People genuinely condoning the running of the club. - People attacking those who are voicing their concerns in the stands. - People plastering pro-KP propaganda on social media to play down the issues at the club. Fortunately after the points deduction, the wider media is picking up on it more but it has been very unhelpful our own supporters trying to cover over the issues at the heart of our decline. None of these above points are supporting the team in the ground by the way. And get a grip suggesting people want to see us relegated. Those anger at the ownership are so because we care. So why would anyone who cares want to see us go down, knowing it will likely spiral into administration and put the clubs existence at risk?
  21. Blackburn 2-1 up at half time in the same fixture we were 4-0 down at the same point
  22. Yeah and Moshiri was still there between Kenwright and the current owner despite the fact they were co-owners for a time. And Moshiri was the main source of the fans anger even though Kenwright was also not without their frustrations. But you believe what you want to believe. Our fans are literally the most passive going. Most idolise an absent owner who doesn’t give a damn about them or the club and the only passion they show is to fight their own fans who have a different point of view to them. By the way, see below, I.e Moshiri the majority shareholder, so owner from 2018. September 2018: Moshiri increased his share to ~68.6%, buying shares from directors including part of Kenwright’s holding. June 2019: He expanded this to ~77.2% by acquiring further shares. 2021–2022: Through share issues and converting loans into equity, Moshiri progressively increased his stake to over 90% and eventually ~94.1% by early 2022, becoming the majority owner and main controlling shareholder while still keeping Kenwright as chairman.
  23. Maybe, maybe not. But my point was that our fans have a small club mentality and a lack of standards. Not sure how that can be argued to be fair.
  24. At least their fans are on the same page and make it known they are unhappy. Could you see our fans surrounding the directors box or whatever else?
  25. Come on, at least research or look at the facts before commenting. Farhad Moshiri came between Kenwright and the current owner and that is who the fans hostility was mainly against, as well as Kenwright.
