  1. Thoughts and prayers with @MPHat this very difficult time….. 10 hour ago10h ago21:39 Derby confirm Agyemang signing Derby have confirmed the signing of USMNT international Patrick Agyemang from Charlotte FC. The 24-year-old has signed a four-year deal at the club.
  2. Difference being, they are signing players who will be able to be sold and probably on wages other teams will take them if they get relegated. Compared to our good old method of signing shit nobody else wants on astronomical wages!
  3. Outgoings are more important. However, bringing nobody in isn’t good either. I’m not sure we will necessarily go stale given that we have younger players to join the squad, such as Nelson and Alves. Even if it is loans with an option like Fatawu, and to strengthen a couple of positions like striker and central midfield (the latter subject to shifting a few on).
  4. Just feels like a case of checking back in before the Sheffield Wednesday game to see if we have someone in place then to be fair.
  5. This is the guy who has played for, Derby Forest Sheffield United Sheffield Wednesday I know it’s a job to them and their livelihood etc. But you want players who will give a damn about being at the club and although we joke about the Derby/Forest love fest, Sheffield is a proper city rivalry with full hatred between them. I would question his character based on the moves he has done.
  6. I wouldn’t want the youth team polluting to be fair. If there are players who are so toxic, ship them out and if that is not possible, or until it is, train on their own or should be told to stay away completely.
  7. JJ is done….he’s had a few good games years ago. Been awful since injuries.
  8. Another post displaying a lack of knowledge. LT is a left back. He looks much more solid is a flat back 4. If we play inverted like under Maresca that is less likely to suit him….
  9. Haha….
  10. It’s not fact about Thomas though, you say it’s a game of opinions and that is yours. The opinion of myself and many others is that he has had a shit development since first coming through and if we play with natural full backs, in the Championship and given the chance will likely do ok. I’d agree he hasn’t shown consistency so far but if you look at the context around his career so far, you can’t say it is fact he hasn’t shown consistency nothing better to offer. If he is given the chance this season and blows it, I will call it and accept I have seen enough. I feel if he had a cracking season, got double figures G&A and got in the team of the season as we got promoted, you’d still come back with ‘well he’s still not good enough’ however.
  11. Behind strikers and central midfield by a long way.
  12. Clearly he wasn’t as most on this forum were impressed with how he had developed and come back stronger! I’m comfortable with my opinion over someone who was taking every opportunity to call Rohl s*** in favour of wanting Dyche thank you though.
  13. Why don’t you watch with your eyes? He was clearly a different player when he came back into the side this season. Why don’t you live in the present not what happened 2 years ago? Then again you want Dyche based on something he did 10 years ago so I’m not surprised….
  14. The Harrison Burrows who played in the Sheffield United side who got to the play off final and finished 3rd and the Leif Davis who finished second behind us for Ipswich? Yeah neither have played in this league clearly
  15. We don’t need him. Luke Thomas along with Harrison Burrows and Leif Davis will be the best left backs in the league. I do think we need to see what the manager preferences are though as if we play the inverted bollocks again, LT might fall victim.
  16. Suspect we would be at the bottom of the pile there but interesting rumour all the same.
  17. Well the Facebook masses are in uproar so he gets the seal of approval from me By the way, the amount of people who say ‘who’ really shows how clueless are wider fanbase is. He’s managed in the Championship for the past couple of years and we have faced him on a a couple of occasions. Talk about barely scratching the surface level football knowledge!
  18. Those talking about experience. Is Dyche’s experience in this league over 10 years ago really relevant now? It’s a different league now, things have moved on. The likes of Cifuentes and Rohl have current experience in managing in this league, even if they haven’t got promoted from it, which would be a completely unrealistic expectation given the two teams they have been managing. I’d sooner one of these who have had success where they have been recently than names who are deemed to have experience but in reality, have failed in recent jobs.
  19. I actually can’t see us going back up. It’s drastic when people say we will go down again and that’s just doomsaying. But those saying we will just go up because we have the players we did last time could be in for a rude awakening. Other clubs like Norwich and QPR who have been mid table are recruiting well and showing ambition, making it likely the top half will be stronger. I think Birmingham are over rated but they will still likely have a strong season. Our problem is that nobody from owner, to players and even a large number of the fan base care about the club. It’s a recipe for mediocrity if others are showing more fight.
  20. Fair play and to be clear, I am not saying that is everyone who has supported for that long. I am just saying those who use it as an excuse to dig out younger supporters for criticising, that might be the case.
  21. Yep exactly. Someone who has supported the club for 60 years hasn’t actually seen anything that someone who has for 30 hasn’t. The last 30 years encapsulate everything the club has done from highs to lows. That extra 30 years just means you have seen the mediocrity for longer which is not really the badge of honour some think it is. Honestly, I think people who say it is what it is and this is where we should be etc as they have supported the club for 60 years just no longer really care about the long term future of the club.
  22. What about supporting for 25 years (since aged 8), years, just missing the O’Neil and coming in to see administration, League 1 and all those lows as well as the highs later on. It was the lows and the Championship mediocrity that I knew for so long. But I think we are a shambles and ‘fooked’. Where do I (and people like me) fit into this narrative that anyone who is unhappy with the club must have only been supporting us since the title win?
  23. Wouldn’t even register on the radar of dodgy dealings compared to what other clubs are doing!
  24. More fool Newcastle if they pay that! Never worth more than half what is quoted. He didn’t even score/assist much so massively overrated due to Forest performing well above themselves.
  25. Literally never played a single minute in it! And they can’t pick one Scandinavian country from another!
