The doom and gloom here. We're going to win 2-0. Southampton are woeful. -

I'm actually feeling positive about this contrary to all rational logic. First win inbound. Think Bilal stayed on too long against Everton hopefully buonanotte starts again. 2-1 victory. -
When we lost Enzo and with the potential points deduction the board made a decision. Carry on with the progressive style of play which with our squad would have been a massive risk. Could have had a Potter type but found ourselves adrift then faced with bringing in a dean smith / big sam type when its all too late. The alternative was to accept we would be in bottom 5 all season but try and avoid relegation playing ugly football and then rebuild next season with premier league survival secured. For context our striker is 38 years old which says everything about where we are at. 38 and in the most ruthless league in the world. They went for cooper knowing it would be ugly and as fans it's horrific to watch in comparison but it was a bold decision at the time and based on Cooper keeping Notts up they thought it could work.

Yeah Ayew did play well in some of the earlier games this season. Agree both odd signings now. maybe 10 years ago. -
In our first 10 games: Everton (H) , Bournemouth (H) Forest (H) Given the quality of opposition and home advantage, these 3 matches it's fair to say would be where we needed to pick up 3 points. This alongside a couple of points from draws like we have achieved at Palace (A) and Tottenham gives a chance of stsying up. We've dropped points against an injury ravaged Everton at home which is a massive red flag so Bournemouth (H) really has to be a win for me. Lose this and its hard to see where we can pick up a win looking at the fixtures. Villa, Arsenal, Palace (A) Fulham (A) hoped for a point or so and we've bagged one. Average a point a game over the season and we should be safe. Our squad can manage this with its experience. Less than 2 wins from those 3 winnable matches and the board have to step in if we haven't found a win elsewhere.

Who do we bring in for those 4 games? How long is it going to take a new manager to assess the team and bring in their style of play? Those 4 games are gone either way.
-
I'm in the more time for cooper camp. Rodgers had 3/4 season which I agree was too long when it clearly had all gone stale. We've all got PTSD from that. Coopers had 6 games. Just 6. October gives him around 10. That's reasonable.

We had a huge transition this summer. Promotion managerial change. All the off pitch issues. 10 players left 9 joined We didnt assemble the squad untill a couple of weeks ago and with the off pitch issues we know Cooper didn't get his preferred targets. What manager does sail through that preseason perfectly he also joined us quite late. Maresca was a brilliant tactician. Simply brilliant. It was all about meticulous drills and patterns of play. Cooper is somewhat the opposite he provides motivation and allows the players freedom to decide and express themselves which at the minute looks like we lack a style but the 2 goals against palace and arsenal you see it working. It hasn't fully clicked yet but a win is coming. Transitions take time and patience. He has a good run in october now for it to click now and I hope we are all pleasantly suprised when it does. Reminds me a bit of MON remember thinking he was out his depth at the start of his tenure.

Minus Everton I think our results have been spot on if not exceeded expectation. -
Don't worry if his hand is injured next week we have Ward. Imagine the score today with ward in goal

I'm not sure an out of their depth manager with 'no tactics or man management' manages to go to Arsenal find their globally inferior team 2-0 down at halftime and then bring the game back to 2-2 and keep it competitive for a while. They don't mange to draw against totenham, crystal palace and everton either and narrowly lose to fulham and villa by a goal. I do agree the Everton game felt a massive let down. If we don't pick up any wins over the next 5 games and get to 1/4 season in the relegation zone then fair enough that's the time to re-evaluate. The whole he hasn't won many games record is a bit mute really. Not sure anyone thinks his forest team massively underperformed he did well to keep them up and yes lost a lot of games to superior opposition.

Relax, just luring them into thinking we aren't competitive then second half........ BOOM... Choudry, Bobby and Ayew triple subs at 80mins close it down and we only concede a couple more. -
What do people think is an acceptable result for this game? 3-0 or less but the players work hard........
-
12 points, playing 3DMs and Ayew. The foxes talk members then do a walk of shame around the pitch mumbling about the underlying stats suggesting we're still on relegation form. Cooper and the crowd hiss and boo us throwing empty Chang cups and semi digested chicken balti pies at us as we walk around.
-
The most leicester thing ever would be to win this 1-0 with heroics then lose at Bournemouth.
-
We've drawn with Palace, Tottenham, Everton Lost by 1 goal to Villa and Fulham. 15th in the league. 4 games the players worked hard. 1game Everton it was a bad day at the office. Think we need some objectivity here.

LCFC 1-1 Everton - Post Match Thread

I defended the crystal palace performance but that wasn't great today especially the first half. Bilal had a lot of pressure to perform and sadly I think it was too much for him. Needs to be gradually introduced. Must have done well in training so that's promising. I actually think the team we fielded against palace wins that today. Skippy I thought was hard done by to be dropped after last week and it showed we didn't control the game at all. The double pivot with winks ndidi didn't work well today. Ndidi was much better further forward last week. We don't have the quality we did last time we were up. Every game is tough in the prem and both teams today were desperate. -
This is exactly where I am at with it all. I like Cooper. I like to see the players have some spirit. At a loss as to why a draw away from home is a bad result. He's making us hard to beat with his line up and I think people underestimate the qualities in that line up. Don't really see it as 3DM's. Sure you make your own luck bit defending a lead is a reasonable tactical decision. Think we are where we would have predicted we should be 4 games in. Excited for today.

Relegated with Barnes, Maddision, Tielemans. Madness wasn't it.

This is becoming an absolute witch hunt now bordering on ridiculous. We were 2-0 up with the supposedly negative selections playing away from home. The game plan almost worked and we came away with a point. Thoroughly enjoyed the GOAT outpace England's best CB and Mav's goal (yes cooper reacted and played Mav from the start on merit). It was a good performance. Thats a perfectly decent result if we can keep that up and bag wins at home against the bottom 5. We've been in it every game and haven't lost by more than 1 goal. Played Spurs and Villa already. Give Cooper a chance. If this was Enzo or some other progressive manager they wouldn't be getting this treatment. Seasons of having a soft weak underbelly when the pressures on and if nothing else Cooper has turned that around.

2-2 Palace, A Post Match Thread
Filbert Fireworks replied to urban.spaceman's topic in Leicester City Forum
It's all a bit negative on here. We were favourites for relegation before the season began. Everyone bemoaned the signings who have all played fairly well. Reasons why the 2 young new CAMs couldn't play today. Went away to palace who we have a poor record against away. Put in a solid performance took a point away from and were unlucky not to take 3. Could have thrown 2 attackers on and conceded 2 goals and lost it. Will line up more offensively at home and rightly so.
