Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

All very valid points, why pick Ward again though after a drumming the week before and his previous record with us. Red flag that one. Appreciate your thoughts on not wanting to change the defensive shape but think he kind of did that with the team selection in a way. -
"the back line had one of their best games." Sorry but that was truly shocking defensive performance. Pure incompetence at this level. Idf he thinks that was a good performance minus the mistakes he's utterly deluded.

There was never a shred of evidence he was a good appointment. PSV finished runners up and improved when he left although arguably they sold playershe didn't want to let go. He fell out with the board and coaching staff. 4 games as caretaker at Man U with a star studded squad playing us...... I thought it was a dreadful choice but was accused of being a 'flask taker'. We should have gone for Moyes or Potter. RVN fraud. -

The players were always going to put a shift in first couple of games under a new manager. Restricted with the injuries bit no idea why people think he will succeed other than having been a brilliant player. He's bought one coach with him as he fell out with the staff at PSV which doesn't bode well. I think he was the wrong pick but lets see. -

We never lost by four goals in the Premier league under cooper. Nearest was arsenal but we still scored twice. He had a shit squad too -

If Cooper was in charge I don't think he would be getting as easy a ride. That was horrible. -
0-2 Newcastle after a choudry red. Someone to then start the inevitable RVN out thread and several posts stating what a long season its going to be.

Kasper Fuchs Wes Huth Simpson Albrighton Drinkwater Kante Mahrez Shinji Vardy That should do it.

In the spirit of balance we drew a game at home after going 2-0 down. The bar is low. -
Top bins.

Oh wow
-
Jesus side show bob to sure up a rotten defence and the dak anti attack Dreadful subs
-
Skipp and winks in when fit for ndidi and soumare and we might get somewhere.
-
Yeah suppose with okoli possibly not up to 90 and Faes needing a message its out of neccesity. Imagine either or with an okoli is the best balance.
-
Can't wait to watch soumare walking back whilst west ham break and some player who hasn't scored a professional goal before bags a hatrick whilst justin punches the ground and coady looks down hands on hips after a right side double blunder.
-
Ndidi and soumare together is the stuff of nightmares. Rather skipp in wibks absence. The CB pairing is too slow but no choice if okoli is injured. Macateer over Mads dont understand but need at least one impact I suppose. The squad is doggo.

Agree with all of this. PSV improved after he left. Man U he oversaw 4 games mostly against us with an eltie team. Actually think this is going to end in disaster and people are only thinking about his record as a player. Still will back him 100% now he is here. -
Everyone seems excited but I think this is going to be an absolute disaster. A few faes howlers and soumare walking back and it will soon turn on here. A stint at PSV where he fell out with his staff and a victory over us in a cup game. No thanks. We needed a moyes or a potter.
-
Sorry but I'm not excited at all about RVN. The dutch league with PSV where he fell out with his staff and a couple of care taker games at a massive club like Utd means he's basically an unknown quantity. Completely different to taking over a team hovering about relegation. Sure he's a great coach. Cooper was a great coach in the England youth set up. Really don't see the merit to taking such a huge risk. Out the fire and straight into the pan with RVN.

Stuff of nightmares

And the board would like to welcome... .............. Gareth Southgate to Leicester City and look forward to working with him closely throughout his tenure. Gareth will bring a wealth of negative defensive tactics from his extensive international management experience.

Agree with the inept board comments. Afer enzo it made no sense as an appointment what so ever. Think the board couldn't get their target andnused him as a stop gap. -

Our backline is weaker than a soggy wheetabix. Hard to see anything other than a solid defeat. Anything less than embarrassingly so will do for me. Our back line minus hermansen is just so fragile. Hopefully after 2 or 3 they are happy to pass it around and see the game out. -
