Sorry but I'm not excited at all about RVN. The dutch league with PSV where he fell out with his staff and a couple of care taker games at a massive club like Utd means he's basically an unknown quantity. Completely different to taking over a team hovering about relegation. Sure he's a great coach. Cooper was a great coach in the England youth set up. Really don't see the merit to taking such a huge risk. Out the fire and straight into the pan with RVN.

Stuff of nightmares

And the board would like to welcome... .............. Gareth Southgate to Leicester City and look forward to working with him closely throughout his tenure. Gareth will bring a wealth of negative defensive tactics from his extensive international management experience.

Agree with the inept board comments. Afer enzo it made no sense as an appointment what so ever. Think the board couldn't get their target andnused him as a stop gap. -

Chelsea (H) 23rd November - Pre-match Thread
Filbert Fireworks replied to Trav Le Bleu's topic in Leicester City Forum
Our backline is weaker than a soggy wheetabix. Hard to see anything other than a solid defeat. Anything less than embarrassingly so will do for me. Our back line minus hermansen is just so fragile. Hopefully after 2 or 3 they are happy to pass it around and see the game out. -

It's going to be that horrifying it will make nightmare on elm street seem like peppa pig. -
Yes exactly this. Also how to sure up a defence with Justin, VK, faes, okoli, vesty. Stopping goals with that mob is like telling the tide not to come in.

We're playing in the most competitive league in the world. We were promoted last season. What on earth do people expect or want Absolutely ridiculous expectations. The plan is survive this season and rebuild next year. We're bottom 5 quality at the minute. For a Midlands size club we're doing well. Such fair weather fans.
-
Just pleased to have lived through what will be regarded as the clubs golden era. How many fans get to see their club win the premierleague or FA Cup. Win promotion. We've been absolutely spoilt. Seems we are back to baseline which is no bad thing. Division 1 wasn't that long ago good to be back in the prem. Just enjoy it for what it is.

I think you could put Arne Slot in charge play a back 3 and we still wouldn't keep a clean sheet. There isn't a magic formation or starting 11 that is going to make this bottom 5 squad better. Very much the proverbial trying to polish a turd. Cooper out next one in. 5 weeks later it will be if we just get them out.

How Many Points To Survive?
Filbert Fireworks replied to Trav Le Bleu's topic in Leicester City Forum
Its hard to say isn't it. The inevitable January injury crisis makes or breaks the season for most clubs oustide the top 6 -
I'm 50/50 on us being 17th. We're better than Southampton and ipswich. Its a slog between the rest of us sewer dwellers after that.
-
Blimey we're clearly not bothered about progressing in this competition. Playing our second team with an eye on the weekend. In a relegation scrap last thing we need is more games in another competition we aren't going to win.

Realistic managerial replacements?
Filbert Fireworks replied to Happy Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'm not really sure changing managers is going to suddenly alter our results. We will still have the same players and the sum of our squad is premier league quality but a bottom 5 team realistically. We're having to play a 37 year old striker for 90minutes. Most our players would be on the bench or bit part in other teams above us. Survive and rebuild next year. -
We're just not very good are we. Hope we can take 3 points at Ipswich because this is our purple patch on paper.
-
Yeah I mean he's the absolute goat but your absolutely spot on our striker is 37 and plays 90 minutes. On that basis Cooper is over performing.

We did play well 1st half to be fair but that 3rd goal has killed is off. Always a risk going so attacking with the line up. It could have worked but the mistakes have done for us tonight. Go again next week -

What a circus act. 2 mistakes in a row for that.
