  1. He can't score goals and fluffs every chance but he can link up play, press and absolutely tries his best. Just a shame his best it's under 10's standards. Think he'll be on at 60mins. He can't score himself but might be able to come deep and put Mavs or Fatawu through.
  2. At least we have Faes and skippy to bring on.......
  3. Yeah this is really grim.
  4. Fatawu can score Ayew is good for the odd tap in.
  5. Mavididi, bilal, Fatawu can't ask for more than that. Ayew can score Daka can't. Winks is better than skip. Ricardo injured so soumare in the pivot. Faes benched young okoli starts. Thomas over kristiansen Justin vesty. Lets be honest it's the best of a bad lot and not much to argue with. The youth to play a part off the bench.
  6. Would be good to see Bilal as a deep play maker.
  7. Interesting to see it again tonight. Minus this honking double pivot the rest of the starting 11 minus keeper seem to be being rested. Hopefully winks Saturday but paired with who?????
  8. Yeah a manager who actually makes a tactical change early and can motivate the team. Did we ever come back from behind under Ruud.
  9. There was a genuinely serious discussion on talksport on Monday night where the consensus was we would be one of the 'struggling' teams this season. It was completely bizzare. I think our squads good for auto promotion depending on the points l deduction. On that basis us.
  10. He's fine for the championship he doesn't realise it but it's actually his level or warming the bench as a 4th choice in the prem. Too rash and inconsistent for a prem team. Attitude honks but he will do a job away at Wrexham on a wet winter Wednesday night.
  11. Makes complete sense but another gut punch that reminds you of the severity of our decline. We competed for a top 4 spot two seasons in a row and now we're selling our prized asset to West ham. Think defence has been our biggest weakness as a club over the past 3 seasons and this is another regression. Have faith in jacub for the championship but Mads could have been in the spine of the team for a decade or so. He's absolutely class and was recovering from injury end of last season. Will hit silly heights.
  12. Inter putting in an offer of around 31million sterling for ademola lookman. Remember when we could have kept him after his loan spell for a cool 10mil but we didn't bother. Sums up Rudkin in a nutshell.
  13. We've seen enough of Daka he was 1:1 and should have buried it but as usual in a live game not a training session there was an element of pressure and he had the first touch of a blunderbuss. How many times is it now this happens. Literally every game. Just not good enough to be our main man if we have any real ambition.
  14. That would be a delightful midfield.
  15. It is tricky with the wage bill. He is a player though who in our current situation probably walks into the 11 and improves us. He's proven at championship level just off the back of his best professional championship season so would be hard to say no. A Brownhill type signing offset with a a genuine plan to utilise the likes of the academy, monga, mcateer goes someway to offset the expense and develop players we can sell on for a profit. Tricky situation we're in. Coady off the books though so there's a start.
  16. He'll have an open goal but trip over the ball. Enjoy his link up play though. Maybe he should just sit deeper and put balls through for some runners. Have to say it's refreshing to see the players trying some overlaps etc.
  17. Maybe they quickly realised he was utter shite which was apparent after a fortnight and didn't back him in the winter window knowing he would waste it. Enlightened choice on reflection.
  18. Today will be a new leicester bank holiday. Liberation day.
  19. The fact we're seriously debating the merits and limitations of Sean Dyche as our next manager just shows how far we have fallen. Taking an objective stance though. We're not on the back of two almost top 4 finishes. We've been relegated twice in 3 years. Our owners are rumoured to be in financial trouble. The squad is a shambles. PSR issues are happening. We're on a manager merry go round flip flopping from the styles of Rogers to Smith to Maresca to Cooper to Ruud Fraud with a patchwork of players from them. We are where we are. It's hard to be excited but we're a championship club and Dyche is proven at championship level and has prem experience. We're not dropping to league 1 under his hoof it ball and he seems willing to come. At the same time how long untill the clueless board decide they don't like his defensive football and sack him half way through for the season for another "insert celebrity name ex footballer" because from the directors box it isn't like watching man city. Given the talents of Monga, elenga Fatawu, Mavs are they going to be left to rot now for Ayew and Bobby et Al? What a mess.
  20. Yes I would agree the squad wasn't good enough in general. I don't think it has to be a binary win or lose conversation multiple things can be true at the same time. The squad depth wasn't good enough absolutely , RVN though was still clearly tactically inept in those examples given. How would you explain the tactical rational for being 3-0 down but still playing a high line with an inconsistent high press, playing a double pivot whilst being overloaded in the midfield and having conceded the same goal through the same opposition sequence of play 3 times within 35 minutes and not changing a thing? I'm genuinely intrigued.
  21. What about the tactical inflexibility? High line, zonal marking, double pivot. Never changing it? That is what the issue was.
  22. The issue people are raising with RVN is that he was tactically inept as a manager. I think the point that your highlighting is that he didn't have a pre-season or a transfer window so the team weren't drilled in his "style" and he may not have had exactly the type of player profile to implement it. I'd argue he did but chose not to play them. ?Ricardo, Mavididi. My issue is that on several occassions he insisted on playing a high line with zonal marking and a jumbled high press which didn't work. In at least two or three games it evidently wasn't working but he didn't switch to a low block and we conceded the same through ball three times and were dead and buried by the half hour mark. He also refused to drop soumare who wasn't tracking back and constantly out of position but was in a double pivot with Ndidi game after game. That is just really simple bad management and cognitively really inflexible he struggles to be reflexive and react to the opposition infront if him. Every week it was 4231 high line, zonal marking, double pivot. It was found out by the opposition after his 3rd game but he has nothing in the bank so once teams learnt to overload our midfield pivot it was loss after loss. A manager like that can have several transfer windows and preseasons but that tactical rigidity will always be subpar to premier league standard managers. It's no suprise Amorim didn't want to keep him on the staff. Great player and not personal but objectively he's not ready to manage in the Premier league. I do agree Martin isn't ideal either.
  23. Yeah he's a multimillionaire hardly going to be on the breadline after relegating our club. Zero sympathy he's really bad at his very lucrative job.
  24. No but you could not play Vestergard in a high line and wait untill your teams 3-0 down to change it. He's tactically inept. Nobody would be complaining if we had been losing narrowly, showing tactical reflexivity and looking at least organised and hard working. We were out of every game by the 30minute mark and set up to fail game after game. Think great escape season under big nige we weren't calling for his head because we were in relegation zone but not playing badly or without spirit. RVN is the biggest fraud out there worse than prime Rooney manager mode.
