Breaking news: next Leicester City FC manager to be announced in the next 36 days. coming up next on Sick Sad World
-
Be great for him to be in charge for a few games
-
I can see it now, Rohl coming down the road in American classic car “Rohling Rohling Rohling”
-
We probably needed 1 or 2 more experienced coaches last season, hopefully we can get a couple for the upcoming season. Get some good passages of play and defensive formations going.
-
Oh good, no more Silly Plonkers
-
Yup and they literally changed the rules for defending in the summer of 2016, so a club couldn’t shit house there way to victory as easily.
-
Absolutely and he also looked genuinely angry when decisions went against us, which I absolutely loved.

A half decent manager, with physically adept, willing players (and a couple of stand outs, probably in crossing positions) can win an international/continental competition if they are given loads of time with the players. Like Greece and Theo did. You can also have one stand out player and play give the ball to Ronaldo/Messi for several competitions until you finally win it. if you’re the stand out player in a “lesser” footballing team, you better be a strong MF for all them tackles coming in ha ha

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
tinpot_fox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
A manager could potentially accept a lower pay out because he knows it’s inevitable he will get the lower pay out anyway. Leaving by mutual agreement earlier than being sacked gives more time to find a new club and possibly looks better on a CV? -
Leicester City are in dreamland now!

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Rodger’s had stated both that we/he had been looking at Vestegaard for some time and he was impressed (or something on those line), and also that he had no say at all in the Vestegaard signing. That in itself got back up about Rodger. Bertrand should have been a good free transfer on paper and Rodger’s would have talked him up and I'm sure is one of the reasons for his high wages. With hindsight we should probably have signed Lookman and took the PSR hit, but still stayed up. the likelihood is he would probably have been injured at Seagrave like all new signings at the time…. another point to consider is that if we had been more frugal with wage offers, and if those offers had been accepted, would we have also signed other players that actually strengthened our squad? Maybe, maybe not. its hard to judge RVN on transfers at this point. -
Neck oil at The Manor. Not my choice, but the only other real option was pedigree but the pint was already poured. Had couple of cans of Ald IPA on me boat as well. Not bad and don’t feel as rough as I did on Saturday lol. Got to the pub just in time to see Tielemans outraged about the goal decision.

IF he can play the role well that the manager has for a striker and IF there is a lot of goals from elsewhere, then he could be seen as an asset. WHATEVER his goals per game/minute ratio is, he still scuffs shots and falls over a fair amount of times which is frustrating. If he got the shot toward goal and it was saved instead, he would probably get less stick from the fans. Maybe a chant of “oooh, you’re not Vardy” every time he misses will give him the confidence boost he needs. personally I’d move him on and have a player upfront who can press better but I believe we would be better using any transfer money pot getting some younger players in at more defensive positions with the belief they can make the step up to the premier league. We have probably realistically got the goals coming from the wings next season if we keep maividi, monga, mcateer and fatawu.
-
While Slimani did cost a lot of money upfront, and performance after a transfer isn’t always a given, I’d argue he was actually an example of shrewd economics after he was loaned out and we saved on wages. According to transfer market website we also got some loan fees. He always appeared to me to be a hard worker even though it didn’t work out that well for him here.

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
tinpot_fox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
It gives the premier league a win and gives the impression you can’t wriggle out of their arbitrary rules and decisions. Imagine changing jobs and your new job punished you for taking dump in chief executives toilet at half time at your last job. -
LCFC 2-0 Ipswich, post-match thread
tinpot_fox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
To be fair I think he was probably credited as scoring the last leicester goal in the most match day programmes this season 😉 -
We decided no to bother with a pub or bar as there was few of us, got all the food sorted and the front room set up to watch the match. 5 minutes before the game I turn the TV on and realise there’s no ariel cable in the front room. So we watch it on IPlayer instead of having a lead going through two rooms and yes we heard the cheers up the road and had texts coming through about bits of the match that hadn’t happened yet My mum got to go as she is a steward, well jealous He is a legend and always would have been for me as he always seemed to get petulant in a match when things weren’t going our way, nice to have a bit of fire on our side. A shame he went but you can’t hang on to all your players forever (unless you vastly overpay them…)
-
We’re a basket case because Top/king power probably still think we were a couple of lucky rebounded goals away from European football next season.

Was it M&S or S&M we bought with the champions league money? -
My only difference of opinion from you would be that he would be AN horrendous choice for us.

You need more physical fitness when playing against technically better players as they will make you run round in circles while they conserve their energy for a quick burst past you, or a well timed pass when you're out of position. On the flip side if a technically gifted player hasn't got the physical fitness then Maguire with just knock them off the ball.

And an Ndidi replacement but I’m just a bitter Mendy fanboy lol. Thomas gets praised to high heaven for marking Salah recently but no Mention of Mendy’s man of the match performance marking Salah of the match in the African cup of nations bath humbug.
