I am a senior exec of a business which is many times larger and more complex than Leicester City Football club, and deal with CEOs and the like on a daily basis, so I suspect I have some more insight into senior management that most on here who are getting irate about this appointment.

Even if all she does is relay issues from those 6 people to Top then she is useful.

No idea what you people are getting so upset about. Someone who is available and clearly rated within King Power helping out for a while. Some fresh eyes and an intelligent manager is probably pretty useful at this point.

I find the best was to stop these nonsense things being cool is to adopt them enthusiastically myself.

I do think the BBC, particularly news, is so bloody huge it is impossible to manage. How can you possibly have editorial control over 5,500 odd journalists?
