  1. OK, I am thinking we get Putin, Trump, Musk and Farage in a shipping container and go for it!
  2. You are confusing a public figure with a member of the government who spent quite a lot of her time attacking members of other parties for their dubious behaviour and was the minister for housing.
  3. Those who espouse the right to bear arms must imagine they will be on the side of the protector, defending their family, or that the collateral damage is not them or their families. It's easy to justify the cost of allowing guns when you don't expect to have to bear that cost personally. It turns out the fact that a lot of gun crime is gang / poverty related doesn't mean a white middle class conservative cannot also be a victim.
  4. It doesn't matter if people only read / view the ones they agree with.
  5. I am still pissed off, and I don't even care that much about Freo! They lost by a point, and that point came from a dodgy ref call of a foul tackling player without the ball. He didn't have the ball because of that tackle. Nuts.
  6. 8% not 20%. I am interested to see you care about bankers now! Seriously though, while they are doing well, there is increasing competition from much more efficient banks like Macquarie putting a lot of pressure on the big 4, and labour costs have increased quite a lot in the past few years so I am not that surprised. Even after this they will employ more people than they did 5 years ago.
  7. House leaders of a terrorist organisation, get banged.
  8. 5th the season before mind you. I am not saying he is the best in the world, but he is being employed at an elite level. Whether Forest are patient enough I doubt, but he has a good enough track record to deserve a chance.
  9. You can only have success with the elite when you get there. And he did just win a major European trophy.
  10. I like Ange, he is a good manager and good bloke. I don't however want him to succeed at Forest. Shame. Unfortunately I think he might do well.
  11. Visiting from Australia, the UK seems to have lost its pride in keeping the place tidy, let alone filling the potholes or empty shops and so on. And that is visiting wealthy Surrey.
  12. Hhe thinks its proportionate for 5 armed police officers to arrest a bloke for tweets, he can get in the bin.
  13. I am sure the family who own 87% of Spurs will be surprised to hear that Levy was controlling the transfer budget. Lets be clear, if we have misaligned with them he would not have lasted that long.
  14. In retrospect, I think the Peter Taylor debacle showed us how much Martin O'Neil had us outperforming. Even when selling some of the stars for really pretty good money, we were not even close to replacing them with anything like the quality we needed. Partly I guess as the board saw the opportunity to retain some funds for the stadium.
  15. Unfortunately it looks like he shot a police officer in the head in the shootout.
  16. You tell them they aren't good enough after every defeat and play the worst of the squad alongside them to make a point about squad depth.
  17. Its pathetic to be honest. He might be well paid, but he is still just a bloke trying to balance work and home life like everyone else.
  18. Our two greatest successes came since his time though, so of course the club continues.
  19. I don't mind doing it, as long as it pays well and the travel is in First class.
  20. It's still impossible.
  21. A slightly different take, people cannot help their incompetence - that is on the board who hired them. Martin O'Neill for leaving us when he did. Oh what might have been. Rodgers for not quitting when the board told him there was no money, and instead sending us down.
  22. It's not a criticism; I listen to quite a lot of her music as I have a teenage daughter. Some is brilliant, but even the less brilliant stuff is pretty decent.
  23. Wearing a sling. Blokes got to eat!
  24. Lots of women disagree with you completely and given it is their toilets and showers we are talking about, I do think perhaps we should shut up and listen.
  25. 2nd generation migrants seem to struggle most to fit in to be honest. Parents are glad of the safety life in the UK brings, but tend to still live in their own way in thei own communities, whereas their kids have that at home then UK schooling, stuck in between and fitting in neither. Look at a lot of the coverage re Shamima Begum and how she was ripe to be radicalised.
