Yes I agree, I think people like to think they would do the right thing, but given even at an accident the vast majority of people take pictures instead of helping i seriously doubt they would.

Either way he doesn't deserve to be in this thread.

Only one side is leveraging the FCC to threaten the licenses of news / tv networks.

The whole political monolog thing is quite US late night talk show isn't it? I suppose because it only really works if it is up to date and the UKL doesn't tend to do daily talk shows - at least at night.

I'm amazed it lasted this long given the parent company already paid Trump $15M this year. Free speech was always subject to backlash from the audience, general public. That public seems to be listening to Trump rather a lot. Nightmare.

No doubt there is. 150 billion pounds of investment announced. That is bound to create some jobs.

Someone has to draw a line under these legal challenges.

Its unaffordable clearly, as is the current retirement age, the number of people not working and claiming disability benefits, tax breaks for earnings from general capital investment, and the current rates of income tax.

Independent advice can indeed be very valuable, however how much do you bet a lot of this is one faction pitting their advisers against another?
-
Yes probably - whether Farage is the brains or the patsy I can't quite tell, but there is certainly money floating around in the background that wants to raze the establishment to the ground.

Woah woah woah. Hold on there Mr BKLFox! You cannot expect people to make decisions without having an external consultant report telling them to do what they were going to do anyway! What if it goes wrong? They might get told off!!

If you were fed as much fancy rich food as these leaders are fed, you would be craving some simple fast food as well!

Noooo you can't deny knowing it if you ask Donald, he will no doubt post it on social media on the way home.

Fackin live Ricky!!!

We can make some early firm conclusions like "deciding someone is a fascist because you disagree with their views and then concluding the best course of action is to murder them is ****ing stupid". This does make some assumptions that the killer in question had no personal relationship with Mr Kirk which gave even the slightest cause to his action.

Yep. I reckon there are tens of millions of Americans who could make that shot. Almost anyone ex-military, any half capable hunter etc.

Mendelson is gone then. Apparently due to emails suggesting he believed Epstei first conviction was dodgy and should be challenged. On a side note, I am slightly surprised to hear Maitlis keep calling Epstein the world's worst pedo. Many worse I would have thought. Edit: Biggest pedo who ever lived now...

Premier League 2025/26 Thread
Jon the Hat replied to OntarioFox's topic in General Football and Sport
Is this the weirdly worded crime were "making" actually means "downloading" ie you made the file. Still awful of course, but it is confusing. -
Yes this is what I meant when I said he says this assuming he and his would not be those who are acceptably killed as a price of allowing guns.
-
OK, I am thinking we get Putin, Trump, Musk and Farage in a shipping container and go for it!
-
You are confusing a public figure with a member of the government who spent quite a lot of her time attacking members of other parties for their dubious behaviour and was the minister for housing.
-
Those who espouse the right to bear arms must imagine they will be on the side of the protector, defending their family, or that the collateral damage is not them or their families. It's easy to justify the cost of allowing guns when you don't expect to have to bear that cost personally. It turns out the fact that a lot of gun crime is gang / poverty related doesn't mean a white middle class conservative cannot also be a victim.

It doesn't matter if people only read / view the ones they agree with.

8% not 20%. I am interested to see you care about bankers now! Seriously though, while they are doing well, there is increasing competition from much more efficient banks like Macquarie putting a lot of pressure on the big 4, and labour costs have increased quite a lot in the past few years so I am not that surprised. Even after this they will employ more people than they did 5 years ago.
