I'm not going to participate but I just had to laugh when I saw the thread. Best ever title for a thread. Who says we have to leave the 80s behind and be all pc ππππ

Most defining sporting moment
rugbyblue replied to Super_horns's topic in General Football and Sport
This is my choice too. This was when boxing was a mainstream sport. Tyson could and should have gone on to dominate the heavyweight division for 10 years and was viewed as invincible. This sent shockwaves around the sporting world. A peak Tyson (86-89 ISH) gives any heavyweight in history fits with speed power and head movement. Sadly his head was turned by don king and the high life and he was never the same after losing Kevin Rooney as trainer. The head movement and punches in bunches disappeared and he just became a short heavyweight with short arms looking for one KO shot and lost to anyone he couldn't bully or intimidate. -
Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
rugbyblue replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Im not an expert in these matters by any stretch of the imagination...to be honest I'm only really interested in the bit where 11 blokes take on another 11 blokes......but......is there a scenario where we get deducted points this season? I'm just thinking we may achieve top 2 then get points deducted and stay down. And then it's what a waste of time the season was -
I'd be happy enough if the big six ****ed off to a super league. They've helped to ruin top flight football. This would leave clubs with half a chance of winning something, more competitive games and possibly sky would go and w*nk off over them elsewhere rather than subject us (or rather those that have sky) to their weekly worship of them. I'd wave them off......apart from a few hangers on, the majority of people go to see their team play, not the opposition anyway. I'd go (and have) whether it was man city or Colchester opposite us and I'm sure many feel the same.

It was where I was. It was bedlam. I've waited a good while to experience a goal reaction like that again. Proper.. like stepping back a few years
-
I'm not an Enzo basher either.....top for most of the season speaks for itself.... Even now in 2nd it's in our hands with the game in hand. But I have to agree with the full back comment. Yesterday showed it more than ever. Almost everything Chelsea did was wide and exposed us over and over, especially first half
-
I stand corrected. π I don't have sky....I just know Blackburn was on TV as it was one of the few away games I could get tickets for and put it down to it being a Sunday TV game
-
I had this convo yesterday. Blackburn away is the only other win that springs to mind on TV..... correct me if I'm wrong (which I have no doubt will happen on here π)

FA Cup: Chelsea (A) 4-2 Post-Match Thread
rugbyblue replied to lnkstern's topic in Leicester City Forum
Differing opinions on the game on here and I can see both sides.. My main concern was the p*ss poor pitch invader. Mate.....that was the worst pitch invasion ever. Wasn't a streak and wasn't really a proper runaround either.....You could have waited til Chelsea were attacking and not fall over after about 6 steps!! π. What was the plan anyway once you were on the pitch? Still.....worth a ban for 6 stumbling steps πππ -
FA Cup: Chelsea (A) 4-2 Post-Match Thread

Cleverly played for us once before. He was ok but he's knocking on a bit now to make a difference in the premier league π -
Let's Wait Till We Win It at Stamford Bridge
rugbyblue replied to kushiro's topic in Leicester City Forum
Great article. I love stuff like this. How times change.....I'm picturing haaland turning up in front of the TV cameras with a live fox under his arm π. Although not everything changes ....I see the organisers have always demanded final tickets for themselves rather than the fans. Good read π -

Us: "what about the fans having to travel?" Sky: "f*@k them!"

It's sold out so I'm guessing a good few hundred. π

Agree. Yes promotion is priority but this is the quarter finals of the cup. When do you start taking it seriously if not now? Besides all that, 6000 fans are making the effort to get down to London at I would estimate, over 100 quid a pop for ticket, transport, food, drink etc. The club and Enzo have a duty and a moral obligation to the fans who have coughed up hard earned money and travelled to field a strong side and have a proper go at this. Nb. I'm well aware morals and football are rarely found together these days.

Like it or not, yes the club is a run as a business. But name me a medium size to large club that isn't. Top isn't vichai that is clear but I think the fickle among us need to get a grip. It wasn't that long ago this club was in administration, languishing at the bottom of the championship and at one point league one, just drifting, signing washed up players like Les Ferdinand, Dion Dublin and Martin keown who were so far past their best they didn't make a shred of difference. Since king power took over we have achieved promotions, won the premier league (Leicester city.....THE PREMIER LEAGUE), the fa cup, charity shield and were an established premier league force. Yes we got relegated but it happens....look at villa, Leeds, big clubs who bounce back. And we are, barring a disaster, on target to return to the premier league. King power arent perfect but perhaps you'd prefer Mike Ashley? There are also a host of owners who have bought clubs, stripped their assets and even sold their grounds for development (Brighton, years back). Stop thinking we should be challenging for the premier league. That was a one off. Brilliant, but let's be honest in my 33 years of city supporting we were never anywhere near the title before and we are unlikely to be again. Be careful what you wish for. We could be a lot worse off without king power than with them.

Those left handers are contortionists. Remember how they used to write all cack handed at school, arm bent around the page.π

30 quid for the privilege of spending money on home tickets and not being able to get away tickets. And yet we pay it
-
You'd hope with a lot of fresh faces that can't usually get to away games the whole end will be lively. Hoping anyway

Lucky! Managed to get two bang on 14:00. Sold out 14:01. Unbelievable. Good show though taking 6000 away. Sorry to those who missed out
