Just need to concede one more goal then we’ve got them exactly where we want them.

Can you imagine how much Scouse PISS we’d boil if we beat them convincingly while singing about points deductions? Come on City. Make my weekend.

Probably the most common line every Republican uses is that the Dems want to take away your guns. I do wonder if this is a calculated line from Harris to move into the Repubicvnts territory? Park your tanks on their lawn and don't give them the oxygen they need for their talking points. Starmer did this pretty well in the election (the last 4 years basically) and Labour sent their team over to meet with the Harris team recently.

Ditto. Screenwriters are avidly making notes though.

Don't do that.

Would be a laugh if we went 2-0 up then lost 3-2. Actually no it wouldn't.

In fairness to the Premier League they did introduce a fast track ruling to try and get these things done quicker. ... But then immediately tried to use it on us when we were outside of their jurisdiction AND when the rule didn't apply to us because it wasn't in place when we were alleged to have broken their rules. They really have ****ed this one up beyond belief haven't they?

Cooper's gonna get a 3 match stadium ban for being sassy. Times: Steve Cooper: ‘False images’ used to rule Jean-Philippe Mateta onside The Leicester City manager accused the Premier League of giving the media the wrong VAR image of Crystal Palace goal that sparked comeback in 2-2 draw new Martin Hardy Thursday September 19 2024, 5.51pm, The Times The image of Mitchell’s cross appears to show Mateta in an onside position PREMIER LEAGUE The Leicester City manager Steve Cooper has accused the Premier League of using “false images” in the VAR controversy during his side’s 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace. Leicester were winning 2-0 at Selhurst Park when Jean-Philippe Mateta scored from a Tyrick Mitchell cross. Despite a lengthy delay to check for a possible offside, the goal was given — but Cooper has now claimed the VAR image presented to the media after the game was the wrong one, because it was taken later than when the final pass had been made. Mateta went on to score a stoppage-time penalty to equalise for Palace and deny newly-promoted Leicester their first win since returning to the Premier League. Cooper was so aggrieved by the first goal that Leicester officials held a meeting with the Premier League on Monday for clarification. Cooper accused the refereeing body of attempting to take the spotlight off the “awful human error” GETTY “We have seen images that show he clearly was offside but they froze it at the wrong time,” Cooper said. “Everything that has been seen has been a false image. We showed the Premier League that they used the wrong image. Everything that has been seen by the media, by the KMI [Key Match Incidents] panel, has been a false image. ADVERTISEMENT “The meeting we had with the Premier League on Monday, we showed clear footage that actually the game was stopped at the wrong time. Even though it might be hidden in the media, it is our obligation to bring it up and show we have been hard done by and let down, and we have told the Premier League what our thoughts are and the referee department.” PGMOL, the body responsible for refereeing, declined to respond publicly to Cooper’s comments but is understood privately to be bemused by his position. They explained to him and other Leicester officials on Monday that Mateta was onside. The point at which the offside lines are drawn on an image is determined by the VAR and PGMOL is satisfied there was no error for this goal. However, this has seemingly not quelled the Leicester manager’s fury. “We had a massive error go against us and we don’t want it to go under the radar,” Cooper added. “That’s not fair to the players or the supporters. “Errors like that shouldn’t happen. It’s why we’re changing to semi-automated [offsides]. We felt very let down by it. We needed to stand up for the club and tell the Premier League what we thought. “It was an awful human error that we think has been hidden a little bit in the media. The images they have used, he is onside, but it’s after the ball is kicked. If they did it at the moment it is kicked, he is offside. We can’t release them and we won’t. We sent them our presentation and footage, but we’ve not heard anything back. ADVERTISEMENT “We asked them to explain and it confirmed they were wrong in terms of when they stopped the game. It’s not been near the media. Everything you’ve seen on Match of the Day or Sky was wrong. We showed them that, but they’ve not come back to us since.” -
One thing that really irks me about this is when the media reports that we're in any sort of financial trouble. (Side irk - the media genuinely don't care about clubs outside of the Big Six and rarely ever report things accurately or from other teams perspectives) We're not in any sort of financial trouble. We have stable ownership with a decade and a half of evidence of investment within the rules and a proven sustained record of winning trophies and achieving the club's ambitions fairly. The only thing that changed was the rules tightening to prevent competition. They got away with a -£4m fine each for the Super League because anything harsher would have been 'punishing the fans'

Sheffield United were deducted two points for defaulting on payments to other clubs during the 2022–23 and 2023–24 seasons, with a further two points suspended.

"Sorry Boris, Kuenssberg had to pull out at the last minute to interview Starmer about the free tickets he got to an Arsenal game. The good news is we've re-hired Maitlis just to interview you for your culpability in the deaths of 250,000 people." If only.

A genuine passage from the report from a couple of weeks ago: 36. Subsequently, at paragraph 49, it stated: 49. The PL submits that the PSRs for a particular Season involve an accounting process and must continue to apply, however, long it takes for the accounting process to be concluded. It further submits that a breach of the PSRs in a given season has a detrimental effect on other clubs in the competition in that season, that effective enforcement of the PSRs is important, and that it would not accord with the purpose of the PSRs if they were construed in such a way that a breach "became untethered from the season in which the adverse effect on competition was felt or the PSRs failed to affect overspending incurred in an unsuccessful attempt to avoid relegation". It took them 10 years to even start investigating them in 2018; they started a year before UEFA made their decision and concluded with the announcement of the charges in February 2023. They haven't even started investigating them for the seasons after 2018. Yet they're complaining in our case about the detrimental effect on other clubs. They're utterly clueless.
