Halfway through The Crown. Really enjoying it. Some of these performances are outstanding. Alex Jennings as Edward VIII is phenomenal.

Captain Wes Morgan bottles of Rum

It's arrived and oh my god I am in love. I was in Inverness about 15 years ago and they had a commemorative bottle of Whisky for Caledonia Thistle beating Celtic 3-1 in the Scottish League Cup. I think this beats that. Bought two so I can maybe sell one in a few years. How do I get Wes to sign it? -
Consequences is an uncomfortable term in the light of what happened to Charlie Hebdo. Backlash is perhaps better.

Well I pissed myself.

I've never been to Tanzanah and I literally don't know anyone called Tarquin... Although that does remind me of my just now when I was on my gap yah...

Just seen A United Kingdom. It's a true story in the late 40s/early 50s about a British woman (Ruth Williams) who marries a black man (Seretse Khama) who is the heir to the throne of a tribe of Bechuanaland (Botswana). Their marriage is extremely unpopular and creates a political conflict between the UK, South Africa and neighbouring countries. I have to say it's one my favourite films of the year. Although I did spend about 3 months of it in Botswana so I am a bit biased. It's portrayed beautifully on screen and should hopefully inspire people to visit (be careful though because you will fall in love). What amazed me most though is how quickly attitudes have changed in this country. I was shocked with some of the vitriol towards the Khama's marriage and the arrogance of the British colonial aristocrats in charge. Most amazing is the fact that it's still within living memory. Can't more strongly recommend it.

I agree a little, though I tend to think that when new TV shows are slow it's because they're building to something huge. Took me ages to get into Game of Thrones for this reason but it did have a massive payoff by the end of the first season. It's precisely this reason that I have to force myself to put away my laptop, tablet, phone etc for certain shows.

Been watching it weekly. Well, weekly-ish; it's from an American cable channel so they keep randomly skipping a week here or week there which almost makes me lost patience. Kind of enjoying it though despite it being all broken up. It needs to decide exactly what kind of show it wants to be very soon though - the mystery investigated by the FBI is interesting, the family drama is cliched and dull IMO, as is the repeated attempts to remove Kiefer Sutherland from power (which we know isn't going to happen because they wouldn't have a show). So they need to settle down and decide what show it is. Because 24 did all of this much better. Will stick with it though!

Westworld is getting very good.

Bugger I need to catch up. Think the last one I saw was Weiners Out (which made me laugh so hard I haven't recovered from it yet)

Agreed.

Inside Out. You can't go wrong with Pixar. Except for Cars.

Within a day. Brilliant.

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/nov/11/missing-schoolboy-arthur-heeeler-frood-read-orwells-down-and-out-in-paris-and-london-before-disappearing Always been really fascinated by people who just disappear. Hope he's safe and gets in contact though. This would make a good film though hopefully not "Into The Wild"

Loving The Missing.

Nah they'll just taunt us with "Champions of Denmark, you'll never sing that" which will be sad cos I've always wanted us to win the Danish league.

I tried making the point to a Liverpool fan a few years ago, that unless you go through a certain amount of misery while following your football club the high moments won't mean as much; he just didn't get it, and still felt some measure of entitlement. On the night we won the league he posted on Facebook: "A little over five years ago I was sat in Arizona talking with urban.spaceman about the subject of supporting a team with lower expectations and how that meant rare success was enjoyed more (e.g. winning the 1997 Football League Cup Final). Well, today that team are champions of England. I finally understand what he was banging on about. Congratulations Leicester!" I'd love an FA Cup too.

Last 25 seasons for them: 12 seasons with European football 1 Champions League before this season 10 season finished in bottom half 9 seasons in top 6 5 League Cup finals - 2 wins 6 appearances at Wembley (2 of which FA Cup SF) 2 trophies Us: 5 relegations 5 promotions 3 league titles 8 appearances at Wembley 2 League Cups 7 trophies 3 seasons of European football 1 new stadium Almost ceased to exist Almost changed our name Changed owners twice Had 18 managers Banned 2 Frenchmen from ever taking penalties Suffered more heartbreak than they could ever comprehend Registered our lowest ever league position Registered our highest ever league position Pulled off the greatest ever escape from relegation Our striker broke a goalscoring record Defied 5000-1 odds to write the greatest sporting story ever Set a new English record by winning first two games of Champions League One of only 5 clubs to win their first 3 games ever of Champions League I wouldn't swap my Leicester City for any other club.

Episode 3 was the stand out for me, then episode 4 slowed it right down again. I like to believe that when things start off real slow it's building to something epic so I hope the last 2 episodes pick the pace up and have a major climax.

Completely agree. Really enjoying this one so far.
