  1. I always get him mixed up with Lee Marshall
  2. 'Twas Brighton at home, though I think we can discount that as they were clearly having a day off having been officially promoted the previous Saturday. I still maintain they were all just hungover! Otherwise you have to go back to Chelsea in the FA Cup in February 2012, where we lost 5-2. I was living in New Zealand at the time and had to watch it on a poor stream at 5am. The boss let me take the morning off! In the league, it was at home to Millwall 0-3 in October 2011 - which I think was the match that was the final straw with Sven?
  3. Practically any play from the Craig Levign & Rob Kelly eras. To be honest at one point I completely forgot that Rob Kelly was our manager.
  4. Absolutely brilliant. Loved the design - really hope the TV cameras caught it. Everyone should tweet Lineker and bully him to put it in the edit tonight (or at least relay that message to the actual producers)! Looking forward to the next one (maybe something for the Man Utd 5.30 kick off)
  5. I found it by filtering by airport (Luton/LTN) and just tapping each plane. It's the only one currently over the states as we speak
  6. "N'Golo Kante was a real pissant who was very rarely stable..."
  7. Thanks for the advice. Went there last Friday and found an Irish pub on 94th and 3rd for today's matches; sadly bars are charging $20 for entry at most places.Spoke to the Legends bar on 33rd and they're opening at 7.30 for the Villa match tomorrow
  8. Hi chaps I'm in NYC for about 3 weeks from Thursday staying with a friend on Roosevelt Island. Can't guarantee that I'll be able to make every city match as we have plans to go away on weekends, but I'll hopefully be able to get to the Arsenal game at least - are any of the pubs mentioned above likely to show the Six Nations? Would prefer a pub near Queensboro Bridge area for convenience but might be able to travel to others.
  9. I'll echo some of the thoughts on here; it's gonna be hard to explain to my child about Filbert St. It's hard to explain even now the difference in atmosphere. Filbo represents an era in the football club that just feels like it can't be beaten. I hope the Thais do do something to redevelop and perhaps install a bit of character in Filbert Way; we badly need it, and I feel only with it will we prosper. It is still sorely missed; I'm so chuffed I still have my prized possession - a roof tile I nicked from the demolition site on a very drunken night! Used to live on the East Stand, just above the spot that my dad and I used to live on. We've still got our seats in the garage somewhere....
  10. Saw Tucker and Dale Vs Evil today - gruesome and hilarious, a great horror comedy that went completely against the grain of what you'd expect from comedy horrors. Alan Tudyk is outstanding and hysterical as per usual
  11. Is there a way to do it in the coding? I tried a couple of ways but i lost patience with the error messages! Oh, here's another one I took in the US this year (I was working as a conservation volunteer in Arizona) Monument Valley, Utah Dang it i done it again
  12. This is my first post on this thread, loving some great photos on here. Thought I'd add some of mine from my various travels... These are mostly from Africa (about a couple of years ago I quit my job, flew to Botswana, bought a car and explored) Namib Desert (Oldest desert in the world), Namibia Swakopmund, Namibia Me dad trying to take a better photo! Dressed like a typical Englishman on holiday The Milky Way Klipspringer, Pilanesburg NP, South Africa Leopard Turtle, Mokolodi Nature Reserve, Botswana Splashing Elephant, Etosha NP, Namibia Lion trying to mind its own business, Khutse, Kalahari Desert, Botswana Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe side Meditation On The Edge I definitely need to get back on the road with my camera.
  13. Just watched one of the weirdest films ever.... Little Otik (Otesánek) from the Czech Republic... It's about a couple who can't conceive, so instead of going the normal route of IVF treatment by medical professionals, they adopt a lump of wood that looks a bit like a baby and take it in as their own. At first they treat it like real a baby, but then it comes to life and starts to eat people (the maid, the postman, the milkman......). Little bit off the wall but very, very good. Also watched The Boat That Rocked. Loved it!!
