  1. Indeed, that fence he's sitting on must be getting quite uncomfortable...
  2. Wherever rock bottom turns out to be, if Top and Rudkin are still in charge we'll probably find it has a basement...

  4. Maybe it stems from the annoying habit people have of raising their tone of voice at the end of a normal statement as if it were a question?

I'm so sorry to hear that. It must be raw right now but draw strength from the memories of the good times you spent together.
  6. The Cork International Airport Hotel. After a few pints of Guinness I thought I was tripping out when I walked in!
  7. Well now Andy Burnham's sorted bus fares and disposable barbecues I'm sure this could be on his to-do list?

  9. Even if Jason Arday did have justifiable question marks over his academic work, the videos I've seen of Nathan Cofnas show a man who seems to relish punching down on others. So for me, this news is a little piece of karma.
  10. Three years ago (I think) I had the complete memorial flight (Spitfire + Lancaster + Hurricane) fly over my house at low level. It was the most amazing sight and sound imaginable. It is an incredibly hard decision. On the one hand we don't want our beloved pet to suffer, but on the other we want to hang on to that wonderful relationship for as long as possible. In my own experience (three times) you'll know when the time is right for both of you. Best wishes.

  13. The eclipse was a bit underwhelming...
  14. When I read stuff like this I'm compelled to search for videos of firefighters rescuing kittens from drains...
  15. The Argos Catalogue. aka The Laminated Book of Dreams (Bill Bailey)
  16. When I was at secondary school in Leicester in the 70s boff was definitely used as a perjorative term for 'high achievers'. At my school the opposite of the boff was the 'SCISP'. Kids who weren't considered bright enough to do separate biology, chemistry and physics O'levels did a combined CSE called the 'Schools Council Integrated Science Project' (SCISP).
