  1. I’m struggling to persevere with it. Stopped doing the side quests and just sticking with the main storyline to try and rattle through. Enjoyed it to a point but so repetitive now and the missions lack any imagination
  2. Gotten to the bit where we Clive is older and at the new Hideaway now. Looks like things are about to start getting more complicated! Tweaked a few settings so that it's not just bashing square constantly and it's made the combat more entertaining. Still annoying when you walk 10 steps and another cut scene starts though.
  3. I'm genuinely not sure if I'm enjoying this game or not...... I kind of feel like i'm not doing anything half the time. No idea how far I am through it but have Jill alongside me again and just had to wait for a bridge to be repaired before I can move on. I just feel like I'm missing something. Side quests are meaningless (deliver food, find someone who is literally round the corner etc) and the combat experiences are over so quickly that you barely feel like you've gotten started. Maybe I've done what you did and it's because it's more "story" mode than anything else?
  4. Ditto. Great hotel. Small world that we may well have spoken whilst out there!!
  5. Must have been on the same plane as you! It did seem that half the hotel was people from Leicester! I'm still sulking about being back in the real world rather than out in that sun!
  6. Stupid sport. Been playing well recently then popped to the driving range and was absolutely hopeless. Sliced drives, hit one right off the toe that went off at 45 degrees.... Not done stuff like that in years but three drives in a row that were hideous and out of thirty balls hit about 5 I was happy with. Off to sulk now.
  7. I'm getting quite into it at the moment having dabbled a few years ago. Signed up as a member for Beedles Lake par 3 which will hopefully improve my approaches to the green. Played at The Leicestershire last week in what was probably my 10th full 18 holes in my lifetime and shot 104. Was over the moon with that considering I shot 10 on the first hole. My biggest issue is that I can't get to grips with the hybrid or wood so can hit a nice drive down the centre and then have to drop down to a 6 iron and keep falling short of the greens. Just need to spend some time on the range with those two clubs to try and make something click!!
  8. Blue with premier League badge on the sleeve. Not fussed about any other detail.
  9. It's a tricky one because we nearly got caught out by it as well. We saw the signs but as we didn't know about it, it had slipped our mind by the time we reached the destination and forgot to check. Our first thought was that it would just be payable by HGVs or something like that as know we didn't get caught by the low emission areas in London. Luckily remembered the day before the fine kicked in. I'd say if as it was four fines on four occasions it would likely be difficult to argue as it is fairly well sign posted especially along the Aston Expressway if that's the way you went into Birmingham? Isn't there a potential fine for not telling the DVLA you have moved within a time limit? Potentially worth seeing what that fine would be as by arguing that you had moved and not got the penalty notices, are you opening yourself up to a different fine?
  10. Finished the game now and whilst fairly enjoyable, it was never really a challenge. Looking back, I think the majority of times I died were because of the camera being stuck so close to the character that you can't back away so get pinned against a wall or back into another enemy you didn't know was there. Frustrating in the boss battles. Speaking of the boss battles - all pretty much identical and no real skill to them. Dodge, shoot, hit, repeat. Beautiful game, playable and a solid 7/10 but not what I was hoping for.
  11. Just beaten the second "boss" battle and found the flaws in the game a little more in terms of controls.... Kept dying and it was out of my hands. Camera panned in so close that I had no idea an enemy was behind me. One other failing is it takes too long to give yourself health or change guns. Already dead by the time you have injected yourself. Not really done much to the guns to be honest. Hardly used them really. Melee most of the way apart from bosses
  12. Working through Callisto Protocol on ps5..... it's ok..... graphically it's stunning but it's not got the "creepy" feeling that I was hoping for. A couple of jump scares but once it's happened a couple of times, you generally expect it. Probably about 70% of the way through now and can't say it's been a challenge so far but I don't seem to have come across any "boss" characters yet.
  13. Just booked at the bond estates Park and Walk through ‘Park the Car Here; - looks like it's 5 min walk max for £7
  14. Yup. First COD in ages I've enjoyed and play regularly. Managed a second place in quads and 4th in solo but that's my limit.
  15. Is that the PlayStation one? Lost hours to that game.... Always comedy when someone forgets to turn their mic off and says what their hand is.
  16. I enjoy stints of gaming but very rare that a game grabs me and end up playing most nights but Ghosts of Tsushima ticked that box for me. Even when I finished the main story, I kept playing until achieved the platinum trophy (finished it last week actually). Now back to a lull of trying to find a game that works for me. Tried Returnal but after an hour, it wasn't doing anything for me so I've downloaded Guardians of the Galaxy to see what that's about. This is the bonus of the new style PS plus system, you can just try games without wasting money. Anyone playing the new Call of Duty? Lost interest in them years ago when it started to feel like you got shot before you even came back to life. Heard this one is slower paced and more tactical which is more up my street.
  17. I'm assistant coach for an U10 team so play at 7 a side. We have 11 players registered with us and most of those turn up week in and week out for training. We would take another couple potentially but no more than that. For matches, we say that 9 is the magic number for a squad as that way all players who are there are going to get a decent amount of game time rather than having to keep stopping and starting to try and get everyone on in some form. We've therefore started rotating the matchday squad a little so kids get a sunday off every now and then and when you are playing, you're going to get to play most of the game. Love doing it and happy to just assist rather than be responsible for it all! Worst thing though is trying to find someone to ref the games - parents just refuse to help out. We had a situation the other week where all the parents stayed in their cars until right at kick off to avoid being asked!
  18. From memory my goal in one of the U21 v O21 Foxestalk games is my only ever "competitive 11 a side" goal..... think it won goal of the season when we did the FT awards. @lildave3 still claims it was a cross!! I'm assistant coach for my son's u10 team. Purely because I offered to help one session. No skill, no ability but a willingness to be there. To be honest, one of the best things I've ever done. Very rewarding and more enjoyable watching them grind out a victory than being at the King Power. Recently started playing 5 a side in a competitive league. Hugely unfit, struggle to last more than 10 minutes without collapsing. Started so well with a couple of wins and getting on the score sheet but then been battered twice in a row since. All a laugh though!
  19. Never got into football until about Year 5 or 6 and then started doing the training. Was never any good and spent most of my time in defence, not good at tackling but good at just being in the way and then hoofing clear. Remember one session, ball was launched forward towards me in the penalty box and I just headed it back out to the half way line. Next thing I know, I'm picked for every match going forward as the PE teacher was just so happy to have someone willing to head the ball out at corners rather than ducking!
  20. I thought Deathloop sounded like a great idea for a game but never managed to really get into it. Finished the story of Ghost of Tshumia and working my way through all side missions and finding everything within it. Rare that I get completely hooked on a game but I've put the best part of 40 hours into this one and only now is it starting to feel like I'm ready to walk away from it...... but just got to plough on and actually platinum a game for once.
  21. That's what killed me - deal with Virgin came to an end and shopping around I could only really stay with virgin or have max of 50mbps internet which probably wouldn't suffice on those occasions when I'm working from home, kids are gaming and the wife is watching netflix. Absolute farce initially when trying to negotiate with them. Offered slower internet for more money, then they snuck sky cinema into the package for £5 a month without telling me..... in the end asked to speak to someone else and got a better deal. The clown who I initially spoke to even forgot to mute his mic and spoke aloud when typing up his referral notes saying what he had offered me already. All full of lies and so was quite an easy win when I pointed that out to the next person!
  22. Used it for the first time today as took my lad with us. Never used anything like this before as don't want to use my phone to pay for stuff so no idea what I was doing.... Really don't get what the fuss is about. Bought the ticket, had an email through in seconds, set up an account for Google wallet in minutes following the instructions provided and downloaded the ticket. Watched a video the club sent about how to use it, did what the video said..... Worked perfectly. No hold up, in just as quickly as scanning my own card season ticket.
  23. First time being used today was always going to create confusion and that's exactly why the club published information about arriving early etc. They even closed the free beer and water stands 15 mins earlier than normal and put a tannoy announcement to suggest you made your way in. By the third match, it will be business as usual in terms of timings.
  24. Norwich and Fulham are not allowed to be in the same division
