  1. We only have to compare the players bought in during Puels tenure compared to Cooper to answer that one.
  2. That performance has secured his next contract on the bench for Anstey Nomads as Conrad Logan's understudy!
  3. I think you're probably right. Makes you wonder if he's making as much of a cocktail up with the family business?
  4. Perhaps he should go and brief the players instead of Meat Head.
  5. Top's not got a decisive bone in his body, his Dad had them all.
  6. Yep, drivel like that!
  7. It's whether those brainless dawks have the guts to admit their mistake though?
  8. Good point.
  9. That 4 easily picks itself (too early to judge Edouard). How can he not see that! Mavididi clearly had a great last season yet he dropped him for Reid why? Because he had a little bit of Premier League experience? How crap. No surprise to us he's delivered in the last three games, is Cooper bone idol, did he not study last seasons games? Fatawu whilst raw has to be a better prospect against a 39yr old fullback both attacking and defensively than the also ageing Ayew? Again, is Cooper blinded by the term Premier League experience? Buonanotte has made such a difference when he's come on and his stats prove it but again, Cooper has usually chosen to go with 3 defensive midfielders including Ndidi who like JJ constantly gives the ball away! Vardy clearly picks himself with what we've got available.
  10. When Cooper doesn't rate you it's usually a sign that you're pretty good! 🤣
  11. He's the author of his own problems sometimes though ie giving the ball away and putting the whole team back under pressure. Ndidi is similar in fairness. In fairness he didn't have much cover in front of him against Everton as Ayew was nowhere near as effective there as Fatawu is in his defensive duties.
  12. I think he's been poor defensively but also persistently giving the ball away. His positioning at times is very suspect also. Squad player at very best.
  13. True, but Ricardo and Fatawu would be better than JJ and Ayew defensively as well as attacking wise. They certainly would have been against an ageing Young at left back. Fatawu when played has come to the rescue of JJ a number of times this season already. In fact, although not his position, he looks a better fullback than JJ full stop!
  14. The trouble is you used the words sensible and Cooper in the same sentence. Logical and tactics don't go together with Cooper either. It may have been sensible to recognise that Everton had a 39 yrs old left back who recently got sent off due to a misdemeanor after getting caught for pace. Logic may suggest that playing a fast footed Fatawu to exploit this rather than just play another pensioner whose only effect would be that they could both grow old gently together. Against the bottom team that had been shipping goals, a sensible attack of Mavididi, Vardy, Buonanotte and Fatawu may have got them in a panic by pulling them all over the place leaving spaces? Logically it also helps the opposition to keep giving the ball to attack us, so it may have been sensible to leave the main culprits JJ and Ndidi out for Ricardo and Skipp. Let's face it, Young was never going to whip Ricky for pace either was he! Ricardo and Fatawu are also better defensively compared to Ayew and JJ on the right let alone from an attacking point of view. Our right side was a problem all game both from an attacking and defensive point of view.
  15. 'I didn't have a clue in the stadium' Blimey, that's two of you then, you and Cooper!
  16. Looks fine to me ... until you lumber them with the Cooperman factor. He could turn milk sour!
  17. It's probably only 4/1 to score 7!
  18. Yet he continues to play JJ and Ndidi who, regardless of their positioning, contrive to continually give the ball to the opposition for a free hit.
  19. Do many people actually give a toss about this game? I'm struggling to be interested in the Premier League due to the meat head that is Cooper and his inane drivel when interviewed.
  20. More suited to giving the ball to the opposition?
  21. Except it's not 'tight' if you play Ndidi and JJ because they keep giving the ball away. They are the exact opposite.
  22. If as is said he doesn't win much in the air, that can be quite a handicap for a target man 😂
  23. They're welcome to him.
  24. Let's hope so. Without a points deduction now, when comparing our squad with that of at least half of the teams in the Premier League, I do think that we've got enough decent players to have a good go at it. Positive managerial leadership and fight is vital though, merely being shrinking violets and hanging on for gtim death will just end badly.
  25. I think because his so called 'defensive' set up is anything but! You could play 11 centre halves but it doesn't mean it will be effective defensively. Whilst the expression 'the best form of defence is attack' isn't entirely true, there some merit in it and a halfway house solution is called for. Cooper's supposed defensive set ups offer no threat whatsoever, therefore opposition teams can afford to swarm forward and have absolutely no fear of retribution. On the other extreme, if you remember when under Ranieri, when we conceded a corner, instead of stuffing all of our players in our own box, wherein if the ball got cleared, it would only come back again, he used to leave one player in midfield with Vardy and Marhez on the half way line! That in itself induced uncertainty in the opposition. It made them keep at least 4 players back which very effectively reduced their threat. Vardy and Marhez were never going to be much use anyway in their own penalty area were they! By leaving Ndidi out and playing Buonanotte who is comfortable on the ball and willing to attack players, by replacing Reid with Mavididi, we then have a threat on the left and right flanks plus Vardy and Buonanotte. As long as Mavididi and Fatawu conscientiously share defensive duties, we've already given the opposition far more to worry about! This to me equals more chance of scoring and less chance of conceding.
