  1. Can't see anyone wanting him for longer than the year he's already got here with anything remotely like the money he's on here. Being a forward that has never scored many goals is not a strong selling point. Thank God we've got Daka for next year 🤔.
  2. At least he sounds keen and up for the challenge 🥱🤣
  3. I think 'Bring on the Clowns' is most appropriate. Would attract some media attention perhaps.
  4. Absolutely, but my contention was that when he did, it was more likely to be in the opposition half of the pitch whilst attempting something very useful.
  5. Absolutely agree. Have someone aggressive behind that's prepared to sit in and those two could cause all sorts of damage! Both of them work incredibly hard, track back and are prepared to put a foot in. For me it was an absolute no brainer that they weren't progressed together! I did once hear RVN hint that with Buonanotte he could give the ball away BUT for me, when he did, it was invariably in the opposition half that whilst attempting something very worthwhile. This has to be far better than over cautious pissing about in your own half that tended to lead to nothing and lose the ball anyway in a more dangerous position! Had we persisted, their confidence and awareness of each other would have grown exponentially to great effect. We'd have given the opposition something to worry about rather than just slavishly merely following the latest managerial tippy tappy trend without the required players to pull it off. Poor and weak, fearful management imo
  6. To me it feels far worse than when we were relegated to Division 1. I've never had such little interest in them and felt so disenfranchised. There aren't even that many players that I feel I like anymore. I also think it's also the prospect of rinse and repeat tippy tappy dullness that's so uninspiring too.
  7. It only really seems to have arisen since Top took over the reigns which is approaching 7 years ago now. Prior to this, even with Rudkin and Whelan, things seemed very well run some people seem to forget. For me, things started to disintegrate when Top took Rodgers on. Staff in a number of positions got changed from recruitment, backroom and medical yet the old model had previously been working. If Top hasn't grasped it in nearly 7 years when will he?
  8. Not really, I don't think it will even occur to them. Top will still think he's playing a FIFA game and think can get us playing the same as Pep but on the cheap!
  9. I'm wondering that myself. When would the first direct debit installment be due for the new season ticket and could you cancel the payments before it starts? We had decided to stay and look forward to a Championship rebuild BUT you just know that with Martin, you're doomed to a particular brain numbing type of football (again) and, even in the unlikely event of promotion, what outcome to expect. I really just can't be bothered wasting another couple of years of my life bored out of my brains. It's not about loyalty anymore because I've always accepted relegation as part of the Leicester deal in the hope of regrouping and trying again and I've been going since 1968! Promotion, whilst always an aim, isn't necessarily required to keep me happy. However, being a supporter (not a customer) and having a team who I feel I can get behind is. Prerequisites for me now are proper effort by the players and a team and manager trying to be the best version of themselves that they can commensurate with their abilities, not merely trying to very poorly copy some other team due to the ego of a manager or owner.
  10. Very similarly we renewed also. However, if they hire Russell Martin it tends to suggest that haven't learned in the slightest and I really don't think I could stomach another tippy tappy boring season with all the silly diatribe that goes with it. Is it possible to cancel a season ticket before a season starts and have it resold or are you stuck with it?
  11. Dear Top. So we beat Southampton 9-0 and you bought half of their defence. Southampton get relegated with an almost record low performance record and you're considering hiring their sacked manager that was responsible? Your father seemed to have been a very astute businessman. I think he would have spotted a clue there.
  12. Poundshop Enzo 🤣
  13. A bit like when we beat them 9-0 and couldn't wait to sign their defence! You couldn't make it up could you!
  14. But I like you 😘
  15. Surely it depends on the condition of that club? Is a manager, that wants to show himself in a good light for a better job in the future, going to risk taking a job on with a club potentially about to get a large points deduction, transfer embargo or very little to spend? What's happened to the reputation of the current manager? Are the people in charge of the club vaguely competent? Think personally that there may be better opportunities elsewhere really.
  16. Thought Dick Emery had died?
  17. I think we need to think a bit more ethically minded like 'Woodbine' 'Park Drive' 'Mossad' or the 'Crystal Meth Corporation'. The shirts would fly out the Club Shop!
  18. Yes, I got reactive and angry too! Sack the Board! 🤣
  19. Likewise there's a big difference between Casey and Ndidi in every way. What I'm saying is that if you look at all the other players I mentioned, any of them could do a better job than Mcateer in that position, even Ricardo if fit, albeit it's not his best position. Therefore Mcateer would be a waste of a player on the pitch and therefore becomes surplus to requirements.
  20. He did indeed start that season well but I suggest 'flattered to deceive' would be more appropriate and I certainly haven't noticed the defensive qualities you allude to? Just because he's willing to run back doesn't equal good defensive qualities. When he returned, he wasn't impactful because he's simply not good enough as was seen in the Championship. We saw more potential from a 15yrs old boy in 20 minutes than Mcateer in two years! IF Mavididi, Fatawu, Monga, JJ, Ricardo and Alves, we have plenty of options for the wings without him. If we could get a small fee and save his wages we're best doing so in the clubs financial position. He's had his chance.
  21. I totally agree that he has a very good attitude, certainly compared to many around him. But ... he just wasn't anywhere near up to standard in the Championship last time let alone the Premiership! He's not fast, can't take his opposition fullback on, invariably slows play down and despite that well taken goal, is usually indecisive. People are clutching at straws sadly. Just my opinion of course. When feelings about the club are perhaps at an all time low and for me, it feels worse than when we dropped into Division 1, people like to try and believe in certain players. Despite attitude I think Mcateer sadly is a false dawn, don't judge on one end of season match, judge on the last two seasons.
  22. One goal and suddenly he's the Messiah for some. He really is quite poor. He scored a good goal admittedly but really can't make his mind up at times. Realistically over a whole game he offers very very little.
  23. I was thinking this too! I suppose we're locked in now but this really would be the icing on the cake. Could Top be so utterly utterly stupid?
  24. This is like rinse and repeat last year. Uncertainty surrounding the club for disciplinary reasons equals no decent manager would risk coming here until he knows what's happening regarding a points deduction, transfer embargo or both! Only one striker on the books and that's almost an offence under the trade descriptions act! Who could honestly blame them for not coming? It's probably why we ended up with Cooper last time, the only applicant.
  25. Whoever is employed to do the accounting is about as much use as this year's playing staff and the people that employed them!
