He was uniquely bone idol when he was here for the last couple of seasons!

We were missing Kante, Marhez, Huth, Morgan and Drinkwater. It's a right bugger sometimes isn't it! -

Not only that but he was brilliant as one part of an exceptional team of three, not on his own. -
Don't think Rodgers ever felt lonely with it. A professional charlatan takes it in his stride and blames others 😁.

In which case we could have done with keeping Cannon. -
It would need more swing than the Rudkin and Whelan Swingers Association and nobody wants to see that!
-
Why would any of them want to come to Leicester?
-
Just because it's not being blabbed all over the media doesn't mean it's not happening behind the scenes. Sometimes, all parties like to conduct such personal business confidentiality which is common sense to me. It's not always appropriate for it to be bandied about just so a few football fans can gossip.

Exactly, it's like going to Tesco's for joint of beef that you want and need but you get distracted by the buy one get one free toilet rolls. You don't really need them but can return home triumphantly thinking your wife will be impressed.

Whatever the problem, Mcateer is never the answer.
-
Just as there's no real place for JJ but we've had no choice. The answer can sadly never be Mcateer anywhere on the pitch.

Which player would lead to a higher finish.

What a great question and you could argue for all of them! In the end I chose Cambiasso for a number of reasons. 1. His reading of the game was so good he'd see and snuff out problems before they arose before they even got to the defence. 2. For the same vision reasons, his passing was sublime, he knew where the ball was going even before he'd received it! 3. Our more attack minded players would receive the ball in good forward positions quicker. 4. As we witnessed, his leadership, winning aura, manager on the pitch authority and instruction would all serve to drag inferior players along with him. 5. I'm biased unfortunately. As much as I think the world of NP, for me it was Cambiasso that orchestrated that great escape. -
Very true and there are of course a few others we'd like to see leave before those two! I like Okoli too but the home sickness thing may well be an issue particularly if you're not being played either. Cannon is a more difficult and puzzling one. We may be just in need to sell before the next PSR review or an unrelated internal issue, who knows. If not, with the threat of relegation and possible retirement of Vardy, it seems a bit short sighted.

The recruitment under the Rodgers and Congerton era is essentially what has destroyed us. Despite spending around £200-250m, when he was sacked he was largely playing with the players he inherited, such was his recruitment. He was the same at Liverpool and Celtic before, it's just that the latter never had any credible opposition.

I think there are two things to take into consideration here. Which teams has RVN faced compared to Cooper and also what players had he had available in all those games due to injuries? Not only that, Cooper's pre-season results and tactics were dreadful and his first few games were as always against teams not yet in their stride compared to halfway through a season.

If we couldn't play Daka or Edouard for the majority of the match against QPR then they're clearly not good enough to be at the club in the first place! -
Poor bugger RIP.
-
Fair chance Cannon would be if we didn't sell him. Mr Sitter won't be, he'll still be running round like a labrador chasing sticks!

The good news is that Brendan says you'll only be out for a week! -
Nice lad, tries his best, waste of space.
-
But he's been scoring in a very poor performing team. Clearly on a different level but the same thing has been levelled at Harlaand recently. The same answer applies though, doesn't matter if he's not the best on the eye, if he keeps scoring, job done. How many strikers look good but flatter to deceive because when push comes to shove, they can't put the ball into the back of the net!
-
Absolutely. If we give them something to think about there's less chance of them attacking JJ surely! Ayew is a strong gives of his best professional however, compared to Buonanotte he offers very little. We need 3 points, get at em!
-
Bearing in mind his previous regular lapses in concentration after 60 minutes, his general aire of 'I'm better than all this', can we really afford to let him play again in a 'backs to the wall' relegation battle when there needs to be a strong sense of togetherness in the team? Won't he just be poncing about thinking of his next job?

I just read Toby Carvery and thought of prawn cocktail and T bone steak followed by Black Forest gateau.
-
I agree, someone like Evans when he first arrived. He did a hell of a lot of covering for Maguire due to he reading of the game and positioning. It wouldn't hurt to have a couple of games next to Vestergaard.
