  1. People don't understand politics much beyond who's blowing the loudest trumpet. Create an issue, solve that issue, take the credit. You're a hero.
  2. Testicles on the way up.
  3. That you cease firing?
  4. RL just described David Attenborough as a national Trevor.
  5. Wigston almost completely cut off by roadworks, mostly Severn Trent repairing burst pipes.
  6. Since when does attacking someone not break a ceasefire?
  7. Personally I'm not keen on numbered models, such as BMW, Peugeot and Porsche do. Having said that, some names are laughable. I've had a Mitsubishi Charisma for years. Dependable, economic and fairly comfortable yes, but it definitely wasn't charismatic.
  8. Once a grifter, always a grifter.
  9. Appeal. I quite like them.
  10. But not a City fan. Dead to me.
  11. I heard it's cos they found a piece of ear.
  12. I can name hundreds in Scotland, starting with all the ones in Shetland, the Orkneys and Outer Hebrides, that are more than 50 miles from a city. And that's allowing for Inverness being a city, when it's kind of the size of Loughborough, maybe smaller. (Very pretty though. It's my favourite UK city. Been there many times ) Honshu, the largest of the Japanese islands, is 800 miles long. Tokyo is roughly midway, with Nagoya about a quarter, Osaka at the southern end and Sendai is on the northern quarter. All cities of 2m+, north of that, no huge cities, but many about the size of Leicester or Coventry. Whilst I imagine there are remote parts of Japan, I expect they're for similar reasons to the UK, remote islands.
  13. I think the IGN article is very right. Pretending that ancient Greeks spoke like Elizabethans or the middle-classes of 100 years ago is no more accurate than saying they spoke like us or Americans. We just don't know, though it certainly wasn't English in the first place. If you wanted to be really arthouse you could've done it entirely in Greek and subtitled, though that still wouldn't be accurate. So long as they're not talking about "garbage" or "faucets" or "sidewalks", then fine.
  14. Interesting article (I thought) about this on IGN. What's Up With Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey Trailer Accents? https://share.google/36AO78sQ3nHZyqyfu
  15. Train to Busan is one of the best zombie movies, so should be good.
  16. Just watched Beast (the Idris Elba one). Totally reliant on the characters acting in the dumbest way possible, especially the game warden who apparently had no wilderness survival smarts. Also I predicted the ending within the first 15 mins. The set up was painfully obvious.
  17. Just seen that, it's nuts. Clearly insane.
  18. The forgotten problem? 'If we sleep, they bite': Rats and weasels infest camps for displaced Gazans - BBC News https://share.google/o0BKNTxbdmSkvqraD
  19. Very much the case in the UK.
  20. The knights who say ni demand... A SHRUBBERY!
  21. It seems M.I.A. can join the list now. Shame, used to like her.
  22. You're thinking of Coventry mate.
  23. Only if they're dirty, thieving foreigners. All English people wash regularly and would never steal or exploit the benefit system.
