  1. Yes. There's some real dross this season, even drossier than us.
  2. "No, not the curtains! They said I was daft to build a farm in a swamp, but I built it anyway."
  3. Child sacrifice to Ba'al Vardeh, dance around the Ndidididio Totem sixty times and put ten needles in the Rudkin doll.
  4. Yeah, MOST of this kind of stuff happens from people living beyond their true means.
  5. But surely selling 60 house... even with only a small amount of equity in each... is going to give them several hundred thousands of pounds, not to mention selling their boat (which must be substantial if they were seriously considering sailing the world), not to mention state pension too. It's hard to see that they'll struggle to survive. Struggle to maintain a lavish lifestyle, yes, but nobody's guaranteed anything. They will seemingly have more than most to fall back on.
  6. If you can't live a comfortable retirement off that kind of money, then my thought is there's no helping you. I really hope it's made up, but it also wouldn't entirely surprise me.
  7. I think co-operative games too, that gives you communication and working towards a common goal, are great for this.
  8. Yeah, set your mind a task, even if it's doing some puzzles or playing a game that involves planning or strategy. If your mind is busy, it can't over think. Or just go outside and let the awesome majesty of nature soak into you (a little more difficult in the months ahead, given). I mean, really soak it up. Take a close look at a tree or a fungi (lots around this time of year!) and examine the complexity of it and how it just all works brilliantly. It's just a case of giving the brain something to do that's either fun or relaxing. Good news; the two things are not mutually exclusive. It works for me.
  9. Was it Shamrock Rovers?
  10. I think the first part can be queried, but the rest?
  11. Fascist!
  12. Ok Faziq.
  13. Ah, you mean the general masses then.
  14. Big business.
  15. And Wolves, eh @The Bear?
  16. Correct. Whenever governments tax businesses, businesses just make their employees pay for it in longer hours, lower pay raises and cuts to any perks. Gits!
  17. More Wigston (Magna, though I haven't heard anyone call it that in years). At last count there are 8 men's hairdressers in Wigston town centre. It's so obvious that a small town like Wigston can't support that many hairdressers in such a small area, I'm amazed these places aren't thoroughly investigated. Aside from the 2-3 that have been there for years, there's never anyone in the others.
  18. Given how many we've scored, that suggests we have a shed load of shots each match, which isn't true.
  19. It's the 70s all over again.
  20. Surely 4 is a pregnant woman with an injured leg?
  21. For the sake of balance, the same can be said of the right.
  22. The kid reaks of home schooled.
  23. Yeah. It's irony at its worst. I guess some people need someone to hate, even if that's people who need someone to hate. And yet I bet they don't have a scintilla of self-loathing.
  24. Can someone run for the presidency as an independent?
