Premier League 24/25 Pre-season guff (misc talking points)

If the PL were to exclude home-grown U21 players from PSR calculations then that would probably put a stop to it. At least I think. I haven't fully thought it through obviously! -

I'll stick with my Tesla. I can refuel that for less than £20. It doesn't go 1100 miles though to be fair.

Southgate could easily utilise the simple 4-4-2 but with some modern tactical caveats. .................... Pickford Walker - Stones - Guehi - Trippier Palmer - Bellingham - Rice - Gordon ............... Watkins - Kane Stones can step up into DM as he does for City, and Walker also doing that Inside WB role he plays for City too where he moves into the right side of CM to help out when we have the ball. TAA does this exact role for Liverpool too. Bellingham can push forwards and play with the aforementioned Walker/Stones filling the gaps he leaves behind. Then Kane drops off deep as he likes to do for his clubs and Watkins gives that threat in behind. That combo should stretch the defence around more. IMO this gets the best out of the squad and gives us more in attack. They can all play this sort of system as they do it week in week out for their clubs, or have done at some point. Bellingham has to play slightly deeper, but he's done that role plenty before. The big issue is at LB but we knew that coming in to the tournament because Gaz decided only to pick one fit LB the melt. -

23 goals for Bellingham in all comps too. You can't play all the above together though unfortunately. But Gaz should still be getting a better tune out of them. -

Deschamps isn't much better. Always played shite football but has the world class players to bail him out. 1 spawny own goal and a penalty for France in 3 games. -

Tactical masterclass. 2 goals in 3 games with one of the best attacking group of players in international football. All of Mainoo, Palmer and Gordon should start the next game. -
Bullard is decent IMO. Driving is a big plus. Chipping not so much.

So Southgate really changing it up for the Slovenia game with TAA being replaced by Gallagher apparently. What a tactical genius. -
I can't get a smart meter installed because my old style gas meter is in an awkward place apparently. That hasn't stopped every energy supplier I've ever been with bombard me with emails, texts and phone calls about getting one fitted. No matter how many times I tell them it can't be done and they "take me off their system", the messages continue relentlessly, usually at least one a week.

Because he hasn't got a clue how to coach attacking football. -

Lukaku is definitely the sweatiest footballer around. His head was dripping with sweat at kickoff! Never mind now when he looks like he's just finished doing the ice bucket challenge. -

Yes it's blindingly obvious. That's the authorities fault though, fair play to the clubs for finding a work around on the ridiculous anti-competetive PSR rules.- 635 replies

Because he's a Lawro wannabe idiot. I'm always amazed at how well spoken an English accent Hitzelsperger has! -
You should be fine using the 3 pin plug method as it shouldn't be a very big battery (you can even charge a Tesla this way). It'll depend on the manufacturer if it comes with a charging cable with that adapter on the end, you'd need to check with the manufacturer website or whoever you buy it off. And it might not be long enough even if it does come with one. There are plenty of options online for buying extended cables at reasonable prices though.

Either that or he didn't want you to realise the horrors that awaits. If he wants to buy Coady, he gets my vote though

Starr is great but Butcher is the best character in the show for me. Love his cockney humour.

We barely got out of our own half since our goal. Shite tactics again.
