I have a similar story in my group coaching when I was a young teenager. I was the biggest hitter as I had quite a John Daly-esque over swing back then but was supple enough to control it. I used to out hit all the other kids but still couldn't reach 250 yards to the back hedge. Coach steps up and smooths one straight over the back hedge without even trying. He didn't do it to put me in my place but it had the same effect.

Depends. He has a lot of personal history with them. Much like Rob Edwards was nuts to come to Wolves from Boro, his playing history with the club meant it was his dream to manage us full time and one he couldn't turn down when offered.

If you look at the various stats and history of the English league then we're supposed to be massive. We've won 3 top flite league tiles, and runner up 5 times. 4 FA Cups and 1 League Cup. We come 5th in the all time football league table too. But we aren't viewed that way. We're a decent sized club but not one of the BIG clubs. The problem is current perception, in that we've only spent 11 seasons in the Premier League since 1984 So we're only really seen as a big Championship club, not a top flite one. Recent history always counts more than distant history.
